I didn't realize I started a trend with my username. I don't come across many grandpas on the net.

as far as my age... I already confessed my age under my username. I am a grandpa... only in mind... not in body You are only as old as you feel, right?

I find large age gaps creepy...especially if a man marries a woman the same age or younger than his kids. Makes me wonder if he lusted after his son's girlfriends or his daughter's best friends. Ewww.... And as much as I like hanging out with my kids and their friends, I don't know that I'd have enough in common with them to establish a life with them.

Depends on who's doing the judging, I guess. Given the circumstances you've shared, I'm happy for the guy. I've been waiting a long time too, who knows if I end up with a younger woman or not. Not waiting for marriage is a problem, and getting married after only a year together can be problematic, but older couples can do that too.

Do you think it will make the marriage more difficult?

It may, but I'm not an expert on marriage so I can't really say.

... "great show"?... um, nice mindless humor when nothing else is on maybe but not great....I probably don't even pause for it when flipping through the channels (and Betty White is still alive so she still cracks a good joke). I was in college when it first came out so didn't watch it much then either.

Only a year together? How long do you think it takes to learn a person's character and decide if you love them enough to get married? I think a year to two years max is the best time to decide if you want to marry someone. Anything much less, and you still maybe be in love with an idea. Anything more and you really don't love them enough to marry them.
