Have you ever heard a woman irl ever say "oh my gosh I love such and such he's so tall" or anything like that? I'm not saying they don't say it, because of course they do, but have you personally heard it or anything similar to it irl? Or is this all online and typically because you're out searching for it - "looking for a fight" as they say?

I'm just saying on my casual day-to-day, I don't typically hear women's conversations and if I do I can safely say I have either never or almost never heard them talk about that. They usually keep girl stuff amongst themselves privately... in the same way men keep guy talk amongst themselves privately.

Not tryin' to pick at ya, just saying man... from a short(er) guy to another short(er) guy.

Longer answer.

No, frequently in real life and online (still counts) most women have no issue being frank about their lack of attraction for short men. This used to happen frequently there, until I went for my equality and started being open about what I'm not attracted too.

The worst thing is that many of these women will say it loudly in public when they know other shorter men are listening. Which angers me, and men should be allowed to be as cold and callous when it comes to physical features they dislike in women. It's only equality. And judging by all the hypocritical body positive campaigns from feminists, short men will never receive any proper support. Only lukewarm support that only occurs after I express frustration. Then later on they just continue doing the same thing in the future.

Oh, right, so you were WAY out then. Yeah, Shinjuku at night is not necessarily a nice place to be. If I was ever there I was pestered constantly by dealers and prostitutes. It wasn't so bad in the middle, but if you dare drift down a lane, it's like meeting the writers of spam emails.

I conceded on my last night (had to stay up anyway, I was getting picked up at 4) and went into one of the 'bars' for a drink. Just to see what was really going on. I knew something was up when I asked for a whisky and the guy at the bar pours literally a quintuple sized portion. (On American money, that equates to about 6 ounces.) Basically, it was ENORMOUS. And at this point only 1,000 yen has left my wallet (I was half tempted to nip back for a flask to empty the contents of the glass! I love a bargain.)

Then a Japanese girl sits down next to be and begins touching me in various places. I don't react. She starts talking, I keep my answers to yes or no. Eventually I get fed up, finish my drink (if you can believe it), and head to the police box to make a statement and to guide them into the right direction. Keep firmly in mind that en route to the police box (as well as a shop stop for a STRONG black coffee) the owner of the bar has offered me every narcotic under the sun, with a detailed price list to boot. (I regret not secretly filming that bit.)

I don't know what the police will do about it, but it's up to them. Fortunately that's only a very very small part of my overall stay in Japan. The other 95% of it makes for some delightful stories.

It did not register that today was April fools day. I was the chump who wished all her friends congratulations on the slew pregnant and wedding announcements today. LOL
But the fact that google maps turned into pac man was pretty epic, and completely made up for it!

As more and more women start becoming head writers and directors for films and TV shows the mockery of shorter men has increased. Cool and all. It's empowering for women to express themselves and things they dislike. But equality means men get to do the same. So let's make sure the body shaming is equal with both genders in the media.

These campaigns about not making fun of overweight women is extremely unequal.

Some white Nazi group in my town has been distributing anti-Muslim pamphlets. It makes me disappointed to know there is such a group here. Most of what I saw of it, baseless accusations and hate mongering. They could have used those funds to donate to a charity and help someone instead.

My town became an international headline for vandalizing a mosque. The people in my town helped cleaned it up and even brought things like donuts and baked goods to my workplace (it's owned by a Muslim family).

No, but while at work earlier today my coworker Mayella decided to play a joke on her family over the phone by calling them and pretending she was unexpectedly pregnant and upset about it just to make them worry. And then she laughed about it to me after her sisters and mother left her messages telling her how much she sucks for the prank. ... Mayella is a Hispanic girl, so maybe this is just the way Hispanic families show their love for one another, by annoying them with pregnancy scare pranks. =P

If my sister were to prank my mother with a false pregnancy, my mother would be jumping for joy and be disappointed when she finds out it's a prank.

Thank you all for supporting me during that time, I remember posting about his health updates right after he had his heart attack, all your well wishes and prayers. We really thought he would come home. You guys were all a great comfort when I did break the news that he had passed. All your prayers for my mom and I really got us through, so thank you for that.

I feel like everything and nothing has changed all at the same time since he's passed if that makes sense. It's still so hard, and it's just my mom and myself.

I have no idea why women expect me to be compassionate about their body image concerns when none of it is shown towards my body image concerns.

Like no, I'm not going to forget how women treated me in my teens and early 20s regarding my height. This anger is going to reside in me for the rest of my life. Just because you're getting older and heavier doesn't mean it's time to all of a sudden not be shallow anymore because you're "ready" or more accurately you're losing your looks and nature is forcing you to be ready.
