I think we share different definitions of the flesh. I do not call the human body, "the flesh". I understand "the flesh" and "the carnal mind" to mean living by one's own strength and understanding. We may also have different understanding on the meaning of "spiritual". I understand the word to mean more in knowing the will of God and his ways. When I do ANYTHING in the flesh, or with my carnal mind, I dont attribute it to pleasing God. Because in the flesh no man can please God
I am not making an equation. I am saying that when you are born again, Christ dwells in you. And if Christ is in you He promised to never leave or forsake us. That means when we have coitus with our wives or husbands, he is with us during the act. This I disagree with. The bible never equates sex with your spouse and having sex with Christ. Were the Hebrews of the OT making love to God with they had sex with their spouses?
I disagree. Sex is a spiritual activity. What I mean by that is that it is the covenant act that joins a man and woman together and makes them one flesh. Yes, the commitment made in marriage is the joining together but this is what is meant by the consummation of marriage. This is why Paul says that if we fornicate with a prostitute we are joining Christ to the harlot (1 Co.6:15).I agree that this Hebrews word "fornication" most likely refers to spiritual fornication.
Here ya go...Source, please..........
Yes, this is the plumbline of marriage. We are to be as though all there is, is Christ. This is another way of saying we are to die to self and to die daily.interesting scripture
1 Corinthians 7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none, 30 those who weep as though they did not weep, those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, those who buy as though they did not possess, 31 and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.
What is worship? Is it not obeying God? Did not Samuel tell Saul that it is better to obey God than to sacrifice? If we love our wives as Christ loved the Church, isn't that worshipping God, too?God is Spirit...He must be worshiped in spirit and in truth..........why try to bring worship in the bedroom?
ok, thanks for your replyI disagree. Sex is a spiritual activity. What I mean by that is that it is the covenant act that joins a man and woman together and makes them one flesh. LOL. You sounded so sure of yourself in the statement you made, I thought you might have some definitive scientific proof. Here ya go...

Kids Can Develop Features From Their Mother’s Previous Sex Partners… In Flies At Least
While I agree He is with us, I would point out that He is with us no matter what we are doing. Saying we are having sexual intercourse with Christ when we have sexual intercourse with our spouse is an incredible stretch to His promise to never leave or forsake us.I am not making an equation. I am saying that when you are born again, Christ dwells in you. And if Christ is in you He promised to never leave or forsake us. That means when we have coitus with our wives or husbands, he is with us during the act.
The links I provided you with are a little old. I have read more recent research that has proven it happens in humans. But of course, I can't find that link now.LOL. You sounded so sure of yourself in the statement you made, I thought you might have some definitive scientific proof.
It appears that no one has that proof. From one of the links you provided:
"And while flies aren’t people, what are the chances that the same phenomenon is occurring in human reproduction? 'It’s something we definitely don’t want to speculate about yet with humans,' she says. 'There is no direct scientific evidence for that at all.'
The only thing you have shown is how urban legends and half-truths begin.
I clarified what I meant in my last response. But Christ is not with us on the outside watching, He is inside us as we love our spouses. While I agree He is with us, I would point out that He is with us no matter what we are doing. Saying we are having sexual intercourse with Christ when we have sexual intercourse with our spouse is an incredible stretch to His promise to never leave or forsake us.
So............we are having sexual intercourse with the spirit of Christ? Maybe this topic should be moved to "Controversial Christian Theology". If this isn't controversial, nothing is.He is inside us as we love our spouses.
Here is proof that Microchimerism does occur in humans.Of course..........
Which means there is still no proof of your initial statement. It doesn't prove that sperm itself can transplant into the female Chromosomes.
"Stands to simple reason" is definitely not proof, either. It's an opinion, and that's all. However, it stands to simple reason that if male DNA can transplant from a fetus inside the womb, into the brain of the mother... then it most certainly could transplant from sperm, into her chromosomal phenotype.
The link I provided proves male DNA is found in female brains.Which means there is still no proof of your initial statement.

You and Ray are going off topic. The topic is, Does the marriage bed being undefiled mean can we do anything with our spouses. I started the topic. You two are trying to turn it into some kind of spiritual symbolism.So............we are having sexual intercourse with the spirit of Christ? I'm not scoffing. Just pointing out the truth in spite of your false assumptions. It would make you a better person if you would just admit that there is no scientific proof for your original statement. It is only an assumption on your part, and your opinion. It is assumed these come from previous male fetuses. But that is an assumption.
But it can just as easily come from former male sex partners.
.......
Now, go ahead and scoff.
An attempt at a put-down. How very Christian of you. When folks start losing face, they attack. You only expose your own IQ here.
