• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Your overthinking ‘disorder’ is waaaayyyy worse than mine. :)
I’m so happy to know that someone is more overthinker than I am. LOL Kidding aside, thank you for making me feel ‘normal’ and yes, crossing my fingers and hopefully my heart’s desire is aligned with God’s will. :)

I'm sorry you're feeling frustrated. I pray that you get pregnant soon. May I ask how knowledgeable you are about your cycles? The book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" might help you figure out your most fertile time, if you haven't already done so. Also, Preseed lubricant is supposed to increase the chances of conception.

You could check for uterine polyps. I had one after my third child that kept me from getting pregnant for three years. I had a d and c and was pregnant in a month! Praying for you <3
Thank you for the information. We'll look into that, too. :)

What has your doctor said about it? his?
There could be a lot of reasons for this.
I was in similar situation with my ex-husband, watching everyone around me get pregnant on their honeymoons when we had been married for over two years and did nothing to prevent pregnancy.
Turns out I had PCOS, which is one of the most common, but the most treatable cause of infertility.
I'm now on my 4th pregnancy expecting my second child (miscarriage risk is unfortunately higher with PCOS)
I had a friend in the same situation, it turned out that it was both her and her husband, but they managed to get pregnant with a little help from fertility treatment.
These things take time, and sometimes a little help.

oh... I totally understand your despair. A few years ago was in the same situation. I haven't had periods for about 2 years, they just disappeared, despite the fact that all hormones were fine. Consequently, ovulation disappeared as well. After 2 years of struggling to find out why such a situation occurred, taking hormones for both the first and second phases of the cycle to trigger menstruation and ovulation, I agreed to hystero-laparoscopy. What is funny, the diagnosis of PCOS was never given to me.

The surgery was my last hope to avoid artificial insemination. And it helped. Of course, I used some tricks to speed up this process, like some described in the article, special diet, vitamins. Firstly my periods returned and we tracked an ovulation a couple of months. In the end, we had to stimulate it with pills, but it worked out. Never stop believing and praying and God bless you with a baby.
