  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay. I believe that both Jews and Gentiles are grafted into the Vine, who is Christ.
You are mixing your metaphors. No one is grafted into the "vine." GO re-read Jn 15. No grafting going on there at all.

In an entirely DIFFERENT metaphor, Paul uses the image of 2 olive trees; one cultivated (Israel, the Jews) and a wild tree. (gentiles) The first represents salvation and the 2nd is destruction. Gentiles must be cut from the latter and grafted into the former to be saved.

Our Lord and Paul were talking about 2 different things.

Yes, but ONLY A FEW Jews and gentiles, not all. Not most. Not many.

4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Revelation 7
9After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.10And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”

11All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”

13Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

14I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Yes, but ONLY A FEW Jews and gentiles, not all. Not most. Not many.
For many are called, but few are chosen.

ok a multitude of people from all over the world so great you could not count are less than the rest that were judged. So much so that only a sliver of the whole would make it. And your for certain that you're one of those slivers. ok

Do you have problem with english translations ?
Perhaps the english is wrong ?

Y'SHUA MESSIAH says simply that the road to life is narrow , and few <<<<<<
FEW ((i.e. not many))
are those who find it.

This does not contradict any other SCRIPTURE/ YHWH'S WORD anyplace.

is its ok for Gentiles or Christians to practice the Sabbath ?
and what kinda of things do you do on the Sabbath ?
i know the Sabbath starts after sunset on a Friday
Yes, it's ok for non-Jews to participate among the Jewish community by practicing the Shabbat. My suggestion or encouragement would be that the whole family is engaged and the children are focused on. Make it more about the spirit of your heart than focusing on the quality of your physical observance. For a good resource I would recommend FFOZ TV. They can help you understand the Messianic Jewish lifestyle. Enjoy, and shalom.

There are at least 2 major reasons (studies) I've heard why gentiles are to rest on Sunday or the originally Sabbath.
Sabbath is what the Lord I believe lead me to.
I try the best I can in prayer to focus my mind on the Lord, His Word, and study, and not on the the earthly realm as much as possible. Like cooking, cleaning, bills, laundry, and worries or concerns. It has been medically proven that a day of rest is very beneficial to the body, soul and spirit.

There is no question but that "the Sabbath was made for mankind" as Christ said in Mark 2:27.

The Sabbath and Marriage are the two institutions that mankind took out of the Garden of Eden after the fall of man. And both are under attack.

And both are under attack.
The devil indeed attacks the sabbath keepers, ever since , well, always.
Likewise also marriage.
Especially in the last days.

I think the CREATOR HIMSELF said something about this.
and
as Jesus Messiah said why - so we would know ahead of time that this would happen (has been happening for thousands of years now),
and
so that our JOY would CONTINUE OVERFLOWING through all the persecution and tribulation that is PROMISED for everyone who
chooses to live right.

Yes, my thoughts are when the Sabbath was changed for whatever reason, it obviously opened a can of worms, a Pandora's box,as we can see historically, and presently.

wow i didn't think id get as many replies thank you all for replying and the links :)
going to start going through them all and learn more about YESHUA
I noticed the words under your name read, "Want to be saved". Just so you know, keeping the Sabbath does not save anyone. Sabbath obedience is a fruit of our salvation, not the means to it. The only way to be saved is by Yahweh's grace through faith in His Son Yeshua. Once you have asked Yeshua to be your Master and Savior, you then become his disciple and begin to obey his commandments and imitate his life. He becomes our example of living a holy life before our holy God.

May I ask where you are in that process? Have you put your faith in Yeshua? Are there any questions we can answer for you that will help you understand Yeshua and salvation better?

I am new to this process even thought i was born into a Catholic family there where a lot of abuse by friends of the family one of them a priest that told me i am evil and am going to hell that Yahweh dont love me
i want to be saved is an old thing in my profile am changing it to saved by Yeshua i have problems learning things i am reading a animated bible at the moment am starting to understand what Yeshua has done for us he saved us all and he loves us no matter what , he loves us even if we have a dark past and he forgives us
my past was full of occult and other evils
because of the abuse i have forgotten most of the bible stories so i have to learn them again
I have OCD and other mental health problems due to past things
Am on a lot meds and sometimes i can be very unwell and not of sound mind
at the moment am ok but that can change

You don't need wine or grape juice to celebrate the Sabbath. That is just a tradition. Just rest, fellowship with brethren of like faith, worship Yahweh and feed on His Word and on Yeshua, the Bread of Life.

and am vegetarian so i cant have any meat or any animal produces
Not a problem either. Try to get all your cooking done before Sabbath starts.

Saying blessings are also just tradition. Yahweh accepts any prayers from the heart.
