  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is belief in the creation story a salvation issue?

What's RAF stand for?
Royal Air Force. Wiseman was a Commodore in the RAF--equivalent to a Brigadier General in our air force--before he retired and became an amateur Bible scholar.

I don't get your point. Just because a majority of Christians are Roman Catholic, why would I be Roman Catholic?
You're not a Roman Catholic ... you're a Lutheran ... right?

So much for "consensus of opinion," eh?

It doesn't matter. "Bible-believing" Evangelicals are a world to themselves. Lutherans and Catholics, Anglicans, Methodists, Orthodox Christians, Copts, Ethiopians, Syriacs, Armenians, etc. are all outside of it.
So much for "consensus of opinion" then, eh?

No, all of those non-YEC Christians are of one consent about the Bible, despite their other differences.

The only "concensus" in play is that literal inerrancy is bunkum.
Concensus of opinion says a child in the womb is a fetus ... do you believe that?

Concensus of opinion says we are animals ... do you believe that?

[According to Archivist] concensus of opinion says Roman Catholics are "worth noting that they are the majority of Christians" ... do you believe that?

If you answered NO to any of the above questions, then you pick and choose your consensus of opinion, don't you?
