CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Just for final clarification yes, we evolved from monkeys.

No one with knowledge of evolutionary theory will propose that you evolved from anything. However, the human species does have a common ancestor with chimpanzees and a more distant common ancestor with monkeys.......

It's not what 'evolutionists' say. It's what all of the evidence gathered by biologists worldwide of all religions have shown. Just because you don't accept it doesn't mean that it's wrong.

Evidence of nothing but assumptions. As always it's all about "look at this we found something similar therefore evolution is true." You still can't show revolution from common ancestor as fact. And you can't replicate it. Guess work and assumptions.

But more on topic, you can't say anything since you have never once shown that what scientists say are assumptions. You just saying it does not equal the truth.

The last common ancestor of humans and our fellow Catarrhines (colloquially known as monkeys) lived almost 30 million years ago. There has been a lot of evolution in the Hominid (colloquially known as apes) and Hominin (Australopithecine and Homo) lineages since then.

All you have to do is read the stuff they put out. Not one thing they say is shown to be fact of common ancestor. They have not ever been able to say what the common ancestor was or found actual evidence of one. Fossil evidence has huge holes in it. There is nothing happening today that shows anything is evolving into something other than what it always was and is. Using DNA and genetics similarities to try and show that evolution from,a,common ancestor completely ignores the vast differences between creatures that exist precisely because of DNA. Evolution ignores 2nd law of Thermodynamics then claims it doesn't apply to "open systems" because of introduced energy. While completely ignoring that the sun would,actually hinder life of it introduced more energy and,cannot show that this ever occurred. Assumptions again. Its all it is. They will accept everything as evidence and ignore all the things that say it,couldn't happen.
Look I really have no issue with that. If they want to believe that, go ahead. I don't really mind. But don't foist it upon all of us as if it was fact. Just like I believe that God created all things fully formed at the time of creation but can't prove it, so the same goes for them and evolution. All the things they profess as evidence of evolution can equally be applied to common design and an intelligent designer. That God used a common design to create because he wanted all nature to work together to exist together to make an incredible world where all things work together to make life continue to exist.
Why do chimps have similar DNA to,humans? Because God,made them that way so they can use the functions given to them by God. God made them with hands and feet and eyes and brains that have some similarities to humans. But he also created the differences so they can't build cities, discover electricity, build complex machines, write amazing works of fiction and sculpt and paint beautiful works of art. It's all so obvious to me. Just like evolution is obvious to,evolutionists. But I can't definitely prove it by the evidence and they can't either.

Your child-like understanding (or more accurately misunderstanding) of evolution and how science works is your problem, not ours.
We can and have. Again, you not liking the evidence or not understanding it does not make it go away. The evidence for common ancestry comes from numerous sources - the fossil record, genetics, anatomical and molecular homologies, vestiges and atavisms, biogeography past and present, and the fact that all of these things form a parsimonious double nested hierarchy is evidence for common ancestry.
We don't have to build a star and explode it to understand supernovae. You simply don't have the background to understand how science works and is done.
