  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, I am new to this site. I am 22 year old married woman who loves the Lord! I desire to learn more about him through his word and to use that knowledge to share with the lost and encourage others. :)

Hi!
might i congradulate you... ? nope. ok fair enough,
but remember in your quest to be the best disciple of Christ, as Jesus said you've "chosen that good thing". Luke 10:42
That is Christ being beyond the cultural norm of warrior-nations. In fact Christ told Mary and Women first, that he was resurrected. At that point he is Lord of all, and resurrected. He could have just as easily skipped straight to Peter, but he let peter go fishing first like la-di-da.

There is a danger in learning through the internet, specifically teaching yourself the Bible, and that is at some point in life, you need to learn what Christianity is from the bible college, and remember the church itself is warned (in Ephesians and to Ephesus) to not leave it's "first love". Ephesians is a greatly artistic epistle. Ephesians 3:18 refers to the dimensions of the Third day of Creation.

yup. good luck.
oh and since God is GREATLY GREAT, there is no real contradiction between the words of Quran and words of Holy Bible (and non-canonical words of Christ). There is only cultural intepretation. For instance Muslims say people can't be children of God, but as Christians we know this is ?hmmm? but if you read Ephesians 1:5 you see in fact Christians are children of Jesus, and Jesus is in the Eternal Father and the Eternal Father in Jesus. John 14:6 ->

in other words, understand "depend on Christ alone", depend on God's power to you. never depend on traditions of man alone.
