I just got an email from a good friend who teaches at a junior high school in Maryland (8th-12th grade). They must now bow to "gender fluidity", i.e., the concept that one day you can wake up and feel like a boy, and the next day wake up and feel like a girl.

Some of the guidelines they must now follow include:
1. Transgender students may now use the bathroom of their choice, even if a private, gender-neutral bathroom has been provided.
2. The student must be called by name of choice and gender of choice.
3. On a field trip involving an overnight stay in a dormitory or cabin, the transgender student can stay in the dormitory or cabin of their choice.
4. Since a student's sexual orientation and gender identification is confidential, the parents of the other students in the cabin or dormitory do not need to be notified because it would be "a breach of confidentiality."
5. In gym locker rooms, the transgender student can use the locker room of his or her choice.
6. If another student has an objection to a transgender student in his or her locker room or cabin or dormitory, that student will be moved to another location. If there are 20 other students who object, and just one transgender student who wants to stay in the bathroom, locker room, dormitory or cabin of his or her choice, the 20 will be moved. In other words, it is easier to move the one transgender student, but the school will not do that because "it isn't fair."
7. If there are students who lie about their "gender identification" and want to use the bathroom of the opposite sex because they want a free peep show, that type of issue will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Because, said the guidance counselor, "who would want to do that?" (Evidently she does not know teenagers very well.)

I know the country will sink further into the cesspool, but to see this hit the junior high schools is patently ridiculous.

4. Since a student's sexual orientation and gender identification is confidential,
7. If there are students who lie about their "gender identification"
If it is "confidential," how could you know or prove that the student was lying?

Anyway - welcome to the Democratic People's Republic of Maryland.

Da comrade!!

I would venture to say the guidance counselor wants to keep their job. That's why they'd choose to sound that unintelligent.

Not surprising. Now we've let the children run the schools instead of the rules guiding the children.
Do you think we'll hear of a junior high school student suing because they demanded but did not receive consent of fellow students when they demanded to be referred to by their label of choice, Neutrois? A group that even has their own pride flag.

And yet the soft persecution against Christian students in schools remains possible because they carry that faith label.

I would also add that I don't think America is sinking into a cesspool. Rather, because the American culture has permitted God to be removed from the secular community by lawmakers and under threats of lawsuits by groups that wish to evict Christians from America, it has as a consequence become more and more a nation losing the spiritual war.
Satan and his hordes are winning control of the American world where he stalks seeking those he can devour.

Notice this never happened prior to the movements that set out to repeal God from the American landscape.

I don't have a problem with any of that. Most of the world gets by just fine with unisex bathrooms and changing areas.

Most of the world is a cesspool and can stay that way.
It has no bearing here.

If they want everyone to use the same bathrooms, there
is an easy way. SINGLE USE restrooms. Who cares that in
high traffic areas, it will take hours to get into one.

Why do parents tolerate this human experimentation, as if their own children are lab rats? The government does this outrageousness because they CAN.

No one

Despicable.

We have a transgender student in our school. Born a boy but now identifies as a girl. He's to be called a she. In discussions with the principal I call him a him. She corrected me once and I reminded her that the boy is a boy. They can't force me to call him what he isn't. Except

In class I try to simply call him by his name (the feminine use of his birth name). I've been caught a couple of times where the pronoun was necessary and I called him a she. I felt that was the right thing to do in that situation. But when I talk about him to others (not students, just staff - it would be wrong to call him a he to students since they know him as a she) I use the male pronoun.

I read this book: https://www.amazon.com/Paper-Genders-Pulling-Transgender-Phenomenon/dp/0615468594 and I contacted the author - a transgendered male to female back to male. I know a lot more today than a year ago but am still not understanding transgender.

I asked a school board member if I, a 64 year old male, decided to identify as a girl, could I insist on using the little girls room under the current State law. I was told yes.

Imagine if you're a 15 year old girl in the girl's shower and Johnny, who is now June, comes in full naked with his dingleberries showing, would you be a tad bit uncomfortable? This sort of thing is happening all over the US.

I've been through the gender training at school, have read many articles and at least one book, and so I am aware of some of the current issues with transgender.

The current push by transgender and LGBT advocates is to do away with the binary designation at birth. No more boys or girls depending on genitalia. The goal is not just to blur the lines of biological gender but to eliminate it entirely.

This PC stuff is absolutely ridiculous. I saw an article the other day where a school is now forbidden from addressing kids as "boys and girls". How can anyone actually believe this garbage is healthy and normal?

The only bright light I see is that this will eventually collapse in on itself. People will become tired of having to monitor everything they say and obeying hundreds of useless guidelines. Truth will be sought out and the populous will come around to common sense once again. The sad part is that it may take us years, if not decades, to get back there.

That seems pretty hard to believe. I think some exaggeration is in play.

People always want government to enforce their agenda, but when the other side wins the government is bad. If only people would realize the government is always bad and quit trying to use it for their own ends.

You want to see the next step on this sin slide?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/inappropriate behavior with animals-supreme-court-canada-1.3624312

Funny thing is, no one that I know of (except myself) says anything about this. Guess being PC is preferred by people to making people feel uncomfortable. Aren't we called to reprove sinful behaviours? How is a person committing a sinful act supposed to know if not told?
