  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

I'm bloody pumped for the return of the king, ever since I was 13 to be precise.. I am becoming increasingly disillusioned with life and the longer I stay alive, the more convinced I am that humans are naturally evil.

After the rapture happens and I'm in my new home, I'm going to turn on the television and watch the tribulation happen in live stream while guzzling can after can of Vanilla Coke and devouring bags of salt and vinegar chips. I will finally see justice happen to the very people who made my life a living Hell. What more of a retribution can I ask for?
No heaven of mine is gonna have Vanilla Coke!!!

Haha. But yeah, I hear you on justice. I was tormented for years by my enemies... authority and non-authority of like. I don't hope they get tormented forever, not all of them anyway, but I do wait for whatever form of justice they'll receive.

@MehGuy think of it like this. You're a logical person, and you know scriptures well enough. You start seein' the book of Revelations coming true before your eyes, with the mark of the beast in full effect, a 1 world religion with a 1 world government, I highly doubt you'd be one of the people who goes "nah all coincidence!!! man-made!!!".

Apparently a lot of people waste their lives being bored and accomplishing nothing until they reach their 30's and then finally they begin taking advantage of opportunities and making goals.

I'm not going to wait until the 30's.

I feel I have already wasted enough time and haven't accomplished much.

It's time to begin making new goals and working harder to achieve them.

I wouldn't say I wasted my 20s, but certainly wasn't spent as wisely as I could have.

Certainly a case of youth is wasted on the young however.

I went to a Celebrate Recovery meeting tonight, it was so awesome. I love God so much and I hope He allows me to have a new beginning and let my past be gone.

I want to worship God every night. I want to sing songs about Him and I want to praise Him.

.... As a martial artist, neophyte student who hasn't even reached black belt level yet though I may be, I find it embarrassing to watch this highly erroneous display of form patterns. This is basically neglecting the very heart of learning the discipline in the first place. Where is the poise, the technique, the precision of blocks and blows thrown and the flow and grace of one's body as he performs them that can only be achieved through dedication and training? Do these students believe that performing the movements of the pattern as fast as possible makes them look cooler or something? Far be it for me to judge a fellow martial artist for anything other than one who clearly shows dishonor in training and fighting, but to me the students in this video have missed the point of form patterns completely.

Welcome to the dark side.

Just remember the most important thing: consistency, consistency, consistency. Even the very best plans are worthless if they're not consistently worked on.

Have your list of goals stuck to the bathroom mirror so that you're forced to look at them everyday. Make lots of little sub-goals that you need to fulfil in order to achieve the main goals - my mistake is always going for things in one bite. It never works.

It can be a scary world out there, but it's not nearly as scary as feeling yourself grow older whilst everything around you stays the same.

Thanks for your advice ^^

This has been a thing I have faced in the past, beginning new things but not being consistent to follow them through. So consistency is the best advice one could give me :D

Gets me so pumped thinking of this stuff. JESUS GONNA RETURN YO. he was all "brb" and people gonna be all "naw he just playin he won't brb" then BAM.

if there really is a pre-trib rapture, makes sense all these theories of aliens blasted everywhere. They're all gonna think we're on the mothership :tearsofjoy::tongueclosed:
But he was.

If Revelation was written before Jerusalem was destroyed (and there is strong evidence for believing so), then much of Revelation can be interpreted as referring to that cataclysmic and unspeakably bloody and horrific time of AD 70.

You may be interested in the following excerpts from a couple historians of antiquity. It's all interesting, but the bold italics are the most relevant.

Thus were the miserable people persuaded by these deceivers, and such as belied God himself; while they did not attend nor give credit to the signs that were so evident, and did so plainly foretell their future desolation, but, like men infatuated, without either eyes to see or minds to consider, did not regard the denunciations that God made to them. Thus there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year. Thus also before the Jews' rebellion, and before those commotions which preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus, [Nisan,] and at the ninth hour of the night, so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day time; which lasted for half an hour. This light seemed to be a good sign to the unskillful, but was so interpreted by the sacred scribes, as to portend those events that followed immediately upon it. At the same festival also, a heifer, as she was led by the high priest to be sacrificed, brought forth a lamb in the midst of the temple. Moreover, the eastern gate of the inner [court of the] temple, which was of brass, and vastly heavy, and had been with difficulty shut by twenty men, and rested upon a basis armed with iron, and had bolts fastened very deep into the firm floor, which was there made of one entire stone, was seen to be opened of its own accord about the sixth hour of the night. Now those that kept watch in the temple came hereupon running to the captain of the temple, and told him of it; who then came up thither, and not without great difficulty was able to shut the gate again. This also appeared to the vulgar to be a very happy prodigy, as if God did thereby open them the gate of happiness. But the men of learning understood it, that the security of their holy house was dissolved of its own accord, and that the gate was opened for the advantage of their enemies. So these publicly declared that the signal foreshowed the desolation that was coming upon them. Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities. Moreover, at that feast which we call Pentecost, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the temple,] as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, "Let us remove hence." But, what is still more terrible, there was one Jesus, the son of Ananus, a plebeian and a husbandman, who, four years before the war began, and at a time when the city was in very great peace and prosperity, came to that feast whereon it is our custom for every one to make tabernacles to God in the temple, began on a sudden to cry aloud, "A voice from the east, a voice from the west, a voice from the four winds, a voice against Jerusalem and the holy house, a voice against the bridegrooms and the brides, and a voice against this whole people!" This was his cry, as he went about by day and by night, in all the lanes of the city. However, certain of the most eminent among the populace had great indignation at this dire cry of his, and took up the man, and gave him a great number of severe stripes; yet did not he either say any thing for himself, or any thing peculiar to those that chastised him, but still went on with the same words which he cried before. [...]

-- Josephus, The Wars of the Jews, 6.5.3

Various portents had occurred at this time, but so sunk in superstition are the Jews and so opposed to all religious practices that they think it wicked to avert the threatened evil by or vows. Embattled armies were seen to meet in the sky with flashing arms, and the temple shone with sudden fire from heaven. The doors of the shrine suddenly opened, a supernatural voice was heard calling the gods out, and at once there began a mighty movement of departure. Few took alarm at all this. Most people held the belief that, according to the ancient priestly writings, this was the moment at which the East was fated to prevail: they would now start forth from Judaea and conquer the world. This enigmatic prophecy really applied to Vespasian and Titus. But men are blinded by their hopes. The Jews took to themselves the promised destiny, and even defeat could not convince them of the truth. The number of the besieged, men and women of every age, is stated to have reached six hundred thousand. There were arms for all who could carry them, and far more were ready to fight than would be expected from their total numbers. The women were as determined as the men: if they were forced to leave their homes they had more to fear in life than in death.

-- Tacitus, Histories, 5.13

Mark 14:61-62:
Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."

I have a family member who follows the NWO. I always thought it is more of an idea and not biblical based. As it's based on interpretation of one Revelations verse, right?
