This is well establish that college can convert people into scoffers and skeptics. You do not learn common sense in College. They can tend to develop an anti God anti religion attitude. So that they seem to lose the ability to even be able to function at the level of a one year old when it comes to learning the Bible.

Healthy skepticism is consistent with common sense.

College often opens the eyes of previously ignorant people.

Your desire to maintain a religion that cannot stand knowledge and learning is sincere but misplaced.

You are demonstrating a lot of confusion and lack of understanding of the story of Noah. Very young children learn the story. Then when they grow up they learn how to apply the story of Noah to their life in our day and age. This is a step from Sunday school to Bible college. I could explain my understanding but really you need to discover the truth for yourself.

If you read the New Covenant (New Testament) you will see that the first word is BOOK, the second word is Generations. This is a book of the generations of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and so on. For now this stepping stone has become a stumbling block for you. Because you fail to understand the story of Noah and how that story applies to our lives.

Then the seed is in the fruit, so a tree that does not produce fruit can not reproduce itself. This is what is known as an allegory. As adults we understand the meaning of the stories we learned as children. So there is meaning in the stories for both the children and the adults. Look at the story of Cinderella. If you never had any step sisters the story would not have nearly the meaning that it has for someone that has had to deal with step sisters.

You have mixed the physical and the mental together and have become confused.
Children's stories are designed specifically for children, an "adult" who still accepts a child's story is not yet an adult.
