I thought to write you something , regarding what is about to happen on this earth, so that you can have a pocket edition <> what happens next <> simplified version.
What stimulated me to write this today, is because this morning at 6:30a, when i walked into the gym, one of the people i usually meet and greet , who was using a treadmill, said to me..."Did you see where Briton has left the ECU??.....What is going on in this world"..
So, i answered him....."End Time Prophesy".
Now im here to write a very quick and simplified study, so that you are not drowned in scriptures and instead just have the basic facts to know and understand just in case you are not always found deeply studying eschatology.
So, quickly...
Your new testament says that there is one specific sign that all Christians are to REALIZE, that shows them just how close Jesus is to calling us home and coming back.
This scripture :
"So in the days of Noe (Noah).
Found in Luke 17 and Matt 24.
And so, just what is this scripture referring to that is the sign of our times.????
This scripture is actually a reference to >why< God burned the twin cities, Sodom and Gomorrah.
This part..."So, in the days".....is a reference to the specific reason God drowned humanity in Noah's day and also burnedSodom and Gomorrah, and is the one specific prophesy (Sign) that shows a Christian living in 2016, just how close the "end", is, to happening.
"In the days of Noah", as in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, was found a specific rampant depravity in lifestyle, that God destroyed, because OF this depravity.
This is homosexuality.
And What Luke and Matt are telling you, is very simple.
They are saying...."when you see this same", the end has come to you.
Now, what are you seeing, Christian?
You are seeing Gay rights, Gay Promotion, Gay TV, Gay Movies, Gay Legislation.
You are seeing, right before you eyes, the legitimization of HOMOSEXUALITY as NORMAL and as MORAL.
Its happened, all around you, and THAT is the "sign" of the soon coming Christ.
Now, what comes with this?.
The AntiChrist.
And what brings him in?........Remember, he has to have a REASON to show up on the "scene".
And what is that reason?
"Global Economic Meltdown".
Remember, he shows up to solve this, to form a one world global solution for the global economic meltdown that has to happen first, as this is his reason to SHOW UP.
And how close is that now?....How close is an entire melt down of our Global Economic Situation?
Consider that the USA is bankrupt, Trillions in Debt, no solvency, and the entire world, "goes economically as the USA goes".....and we are Bankrupt.
Thats a financial fact.
So, that is how close the Anti-Christ is, to being here, and along with the final SIGN now in play....
You are in the END-TIMES.
Be READY !
Hi Deepwater.
I think you need to widen your reading of these passages (to the full context) or you draw the wrong conclusion about what Jesus was trying to say. "Like days of Noah" could be referring to all kinds of things. Is it wickedness of people? Well, people can be very wicked. Nero's persecution and the Inquisition and Hitler's work were all very wicked, but they didn't usher the end of days or we wouldn't be here right now. Homosexuality was rampant in both the Greece and Roman empires, 2000+ years ago. I submit to you that Jesus has a completely different point.
Luke 17:26-30
26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and
the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom
it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Matthew 24:37-44
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until
the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
So Jesus tells us that the day when the Son of Man is revealed will be like the day the global flood came and the fire and brimstone destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. In what way?
Well, when you read Luke, it says the flood came and destroyed them all. In Matthew, it says the flood came and took them all away. In context,
taken =
destroyed. Do you see that?
It's clear in Matthew 24 that what happens to the
taken - that is, the wicked - are the main point. Jesus began with the example of Noah's day but His focus is on the day of His return. When the Son of Man comes, one will be taken (one will be destroyed) and one will left. We need to watch, lest we be caught unaware and be destroyed.
The command to watch has nothing to do with looking at the sky, or being careful to sleep with clothes on - it's about keeping a close guard over our life and doctrine. Jesus goes on to give three parables in Matthew 24-25 about what it means to watch (the parable of the two servants, the parable of the ten virgins, the parable of the talents), by giving examples of people who don't watch and comparing them with those who do. The wicked servant thought his master was delayed and used this as a license to sin (hypocrite). The five foolish virgins didn't bring enough oil to last for a long wait. Apparently they assumed he was coming earlier or they would have had enough oil. (I believe the ten virgins parable is about apostasy fed by incorrect assumptions about Jesus' return). While the master was away for a long time, the servant with one talent refused to work for the master (laziness/disobedience).
Luke 17:31-33
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
In Luke, He goes on to tell us not to hold onto the things of this world--even our own lives. He says whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it. As disciples of Christ, we need to be willing to lose our lives. Self preservation near the end will destroy us.
Luke 17:34-37
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”
37 And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”
Here's the "one will be taken and the other left" again. The disciples asked, "Where, Lord?" If one is taken and the other left, we already know that the left are right there where they were just before the one was taken. So, the only question is, where are taken taken?
Jesus' reply (in Luke 17:37) used to confuse me massively because I thought, "one will be taken and the other left" referred to the rapture. I would glaze over and popular Christian culture took over. I heard about the "[pre-tribulation] rapture" since I was four years old or younger, before I was even a Christian. Probably the third time I read Luke 17:37 without understanding it, I thought about it very hard. It was a huge enigma in my mind, and I wondered if it was a parable or if Jesus abruptly changed subjects. That didn't make sense, though. "Why would Christians' bodies be left? Doesn't it say, we will not all sleep (die), but we will all be changed (1 Corinthians 15:51)? And why would Christians' bodies be eaten by vultures? That sounds dishonorable." I begged God for understanding. Soon after, I realized that "Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together" was in Matthew 24, too.
Matthew 24:23-28
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
I decided to read them side by side, hoping for understanding. That's when I discovered what I showed you above, that the
taken =
destroyed in these passages. So, Jesus' reply wasn't strange at all. At the revealing of the Son of Man, wicked people will die and vultures will eat their bodies. This is actually what it says plainly in Revelation 19:
Revelation 19:17-18
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”
Revelation 19:21
And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
My problem is that I assumed Jesus was talking about the Christians. But actually, He was talking about the wicked, just like He was talking about the wicked in the days of Noah and Lot.
The homosexuality and other perverse sexual sins are a concern, but they're just one symptom of rebellion against the Creator (Romans 1) which has been around for a long time.
Jesus gave us two ways by which to identify His true return versus the false ones (Luke 17:22-23, Matthew 24:23-26) - it will be like lateral lightning (everyone will see it) (Luke 17:24, Matthew 24:27), and wicked people will die and vultures will eat their bodies (Luke 17:37, Matthew 24:28).
I hope this helped you. Maybe you'll see the guy at the gym again tomorrow and you can tell him about it?
And if he doesn't know Jesus, maybe he'll be interested in hearing the gospel, his only hope? He might lose his life if he follows Jesus, but he will gain it (eternally). Those in Christ will rise from the dead at His coming. God bless.
P.S. In case there's any ambiguity, I no longer believe in an imminent, pre-tribulation rapture of the Church. I believe that Scripture actually describes a post-Tribulation Resurrection-Gathering at the Return of Christ.
