• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Paul's limited understanding!

Did he ever say he was? You can't ASK this question on THIS forum.

I am asking you what you are saying. YOU are the one who said He isn't, not me. I believe Jesus is one with the Father.

John 16:13 <- what that say? "he"? (not distinguished from "she" however)
Perhaps the colloquial meaning of "spirit" is what is understood, such as "team spirit", or "the spirit of _____". Colloquial literalism (?) is seriously not cool and not honest when interpreting the Holy Bible. consider the colloquialism "passes away", where Jesus said "only when heaven and earth passes away, shall one jot or tittle be moved from the law". "passes away" is not colloquially "death". :) i'll explain genesis chapter 1 here? ok... Consider Holy Bible is alive, and we all as society live according to holy Bible. so the future is set according to holy bible, that is to say there is a timeline of Earth's history. Now if Holy Bible changes, then a new timeline of Earth's history shall occur. thus you have 5th dimensional multiple timelines, 6th dimensional changing the distant future, and 7th dimensional creation that is holy Bible.

Galatians 2:4 <- what that say?
Ephesians 1:5 <- incase you are Muslim or Jew , what that say? for him, by him.

Do you know what makes baptism baptism? you "affirming and honouring" your baptism.

Galatians 2:16 <- Given the life of Paul who 'believed that Jesus was wrong', then when Paul Met Resurrected Jesus, Paul's faith changed from hate to love. You could substitute the word "believe" with "love for" and "faith of Christ" .

Yes, He did.

He said, "Me and My Father are one".

Over and over.

If... (I'm saying 'if' to ask you a question) If Jesus is not God, how did Jesus manage to live a sinless life when no one else did?

Also, if you are saying (and I am asking) that Jesus is not God, than your salvation cannot be through Him, so I'd figure out how you are saved if not through Jesus Christ's blood. Eternity is no joke, it's a long time.

I'm not sure how you can think that through sin we are separated from God, and there is no reconciliation through God. Sounds like you have not been reconciled back to God and if you are I do not see how.

That's scary stuff.

It was definately love with Paul. You do not give your entire life and be martyred for someone you do not love.

Nice plethora, NOT ALLOWED ON THIS FORUM.

I cannot REFUTE since this is NOT ALLOWED ON THIS FORUM.

But my main one is always the most poignant. Did Jesus ever say, "I am God?" HUH?

One with the Father is the SAME "one" in Jn 17 for believers. You ignore the CLOSEST PARALLEL and ONLY one for your "I and the Father are one" verse. And he did not say it "over and over." He said it only in Jn 10.

Don't take on the RABBI of NT unless you want some LICKINGS.

Correct! He referred to it as "according to the flesh" which I take to mean is "perfectly normal".
If you are sure Jesus is resurrected Lord, I suggest you have a read of "infancy Gospel of James" http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/
If you are not sure Jesus is God, then do not read, until you have done James 4:8 prescription.

There are many more verses, but I am not going to bother listing them. I don't feel I need to prove who Jesus is, I feel that you should show who, in your opinion, Jesus was not. There is not Only one verse, but if you lack the knowledge to read that in the Bible, then you go on with your beliefs.

Your last sentence I do not get. So if you can say more say it, otherwise I don't see your point in adding sentences you cannot support in this forum. There is Only One Teacher after Christ. The One. Jesus Christ.

Wait....affirming belief in the Trinity is not allowed on this forum? Seriously? I think you are mistaken. Here, I found this on the Forum rules page.

"Discussions in all "Christians Only" forums must be in alignment with Nicene and Trinitarian beliefs."

and this is included in the "Statement of Faith for this entire forum.

Faith groups that deny the full, eternal deity of Jesus Christ or His incarnation whereby He, as God, took on human flesh (becoming fully God and fully man in one person), are considered non-Christians at CF. Posts that deny the full, eternal deity of Jesus Christ or His incarnation are considered non-Christian theology and are not allowed in "Christians Only" forums. Discussions in all "Christians Only" forums must be in alignment with Trinitarian beliefs.

Non-Nicene unorthodox Christian topics may only be discussed in the Controversial Theology forum. Non-Trinitarianism may only be discussed in the Christianity & World Religion forum and the Debate Non-Christian Religions forum. The Controversial Theology forum is open to Christian members only (faith groups list).

I think you are in the wrong sub-forum for this discussion.

I don't consider any part of the Godhead an 'It', sorry.

He is the Holy Spirit, He is a He.
Are any of the times Jesus said to be at the Right Hand OF GOD is the Holy Spirit mentioned? Why is this? He too busy to stick around? Flying to who knows where? The earlest OT references are as RUACH of God. Is the Breath of God a HE? YOUR breath might be, not God's SWEET Breath of Life.

Then what exactly are you trying to say when you say Jesus is not God? Is that not refuting the DEITY of Jesus?

Sounds scary!

How does one 'out Bible' someone not using the Bible?

Doesn't seem possible. Maybe edit that statement. lol.

Um yeees. I just can't go into detail.

According to the "Statement of Faith" on this forum, if you don't believe Jesus is God, you are also not permitted to list your status as "Christian."

According to Jesus,

"If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple.

THAT is my view on that. How many willing and able to give up their LIVES, Amariselle?

And how many know how to correlate hating mother and father to the "honor thy mother and father" command?

90% of the POSTERS here can't say they are Christian. So am I in there somewhere or NOT?
