They were a different species to us, but very close. In another thread, I tried to learn how did Neanderthals extinct. The conclusion is that we do not know. Just a bunch of speculations. Let me see what was the question unanswered. It seems to be: Neanderthals are strong people, why were they defeated?
Neanderthals are human, aren't they?
They probably had a slower breeding rate and while they were better adapted for living in ice age Europe, they were possibly less innovative then us.
Chimps and proto humans aren't so different. There IS. That is all I am arguing about.
The level of intelligence of animals varied between, for example, 1 and 10, then suddenly, human reached to the level of 1,000,000. That is when your "slightly increase" took place. After that, may be it increased slightly to 1,001,000 today. That is why on the list of skulls, the boundary between "monkeys" and human should be very very sharp and is not gradational at all. The difference is not on the morphology, but on the degree of intelligence.
How much is the intelligence difference between able and not able to raise fire? Only slightly, or huge?
And even modern humans got by with sticks and rocks for eons.
Millions and millions of years, hundreds of thousands of generations.
Human's are uniquely intelligent, and yes that has only happened once... but why can't that have evolved?
I know you have real need to say it's impossible, but if you don't have a reason then all you are doing is having a tantrum not a discussion.
