I don't know if Hillary's blind followers are aware of it or not but she can't win the presidency. If she somehow gets the nomination, Sanders supporters for the most part will not vote for her. Many of us will vote for Jill Stein before Hillary, but what I think will really happen if it comes to it is that Bernie will become a write-in candidate.

As a write-in, Bernie will be able to beat not only Hillary but also Trump and/or the Republican candidate. I think the GOP's problems aren't over - they don't want Trump and either they will not give him the nomination or if he gets the nomination a lot of the bitter, hateful, angry cruz and robotio supporters will not vote for him. Also, if they don't give him the nomination, Trump will run as independent or write-in as well.

Sanders is primed to win this. He's what America needs at this time. I am looking forward to President Sanders' being inaugurated next January!

It could happen. A lot of Sanders' supporters see the problem with the Super delegates, and it only makes them angry. That anger could spill over much as you say.

There's always that possibility..... there may be a contested convention if Trump gets the nod by voters. Establishment GOP could try to upset the apple cart, but that would be a HUGE mistake. You could almost guarantee Trump would run as a third party candidate if that happens.

Sanders is primed to win this. He's what America needs at this time. I am looking forward to President Sanders' being inaugurated next January!

Sorry, can't agree here.... LOL
In my opinion, Sanders would be the biggest mistake of the whole election cycle. But that's my own opinion.

It's kind of funny, you and I may be at total opposite ends of the political spectrum, but we share a somewhat common situation. We just can't trust the establishment of either party.

sanders is more likely to split the democrat vote, making Trump/Cruz/Rubio a shoe in for the presidency.

Bolding mine.

Proof that you are completely clueless. As a write in he would be lucky to end up with a single electoral college vote.

It's Hillary that will split the Democratic vote. I know many, many Democrats who will not vote for her--I am one of them. Some will just stay home and not go vote. Others will write Bernie in, and others will vote third party. I am going to see what happens before I decide whether I will write in Bernie or vote for Jill Stein of the Green Party if Hillary gets the nomination (I would vote Democrat for other offices on the ballot). If Hillary gets the nomination, I think the party will split (maybe even implode). Many rank and file members don't like the direction the party is going, which is a party owned by the corporations and the wealthy, pretty much GOP light. Also, the party leadership wants to nominate a candidate who is both dishonest and corrupt and was part of an administration that would rank right up with the Nixon administration for scandal and corruption (when you vote for one Clinton, you get both Clintons co-ruling together). There's a lot of Democrats who will not vote to put the Clintons in the White House again. I think if Hillary gets the nomination, the Democrats could very well lose, and I don't think that would be a bad thing. Those of us who were adults during the Clinton administration know how dishonest and corrupt both Hillary and Bill are. Some groups of Democrats are already urging how important it is to vote Democrat, because it would be the "lesser of two evils". Unfortunately, if people really take time to think about that and Hillary is the Democratic nominee, it would be entirely possible for Hillary to come out on the short end of the stick (at least in my mind). if the leadership wants a more conservative Democrat, couldn't they have found one that is honest and has integrity and ethics? The fact is, Bernie has upward momentum and Hillary's is going down. At least part of the reason for this is that the rank and file Democrats are trying to make it quite clear that they don't want Hillary Clinton as the nominee, just like they did in 2008.

You could just about bank on it.

Only reason I would not is that there has been talk in some states about determining the electoral college representatives by district or proportionally, that and in some the electors may not have strict pledges. That gives a snowballs chance in Hell that a Sanders write in might get one or 2 votes.

That's what we're hoping for. Sanders is doing wonders for splitting the Democrats and if the GOP is smart they should have their work cut out for them.

I have been voting Democratic since the 1990s and I have had it. There is no way I am going to vote for the Walmart-Goldman-Sachs candidate. Campaigns are funded by donors and the politicians work for them. They do not work for us.

Do you want the system to change? We are not going to get results by waiting for corporate shills in the legislature to change campaign finance laws.

Bernie's campaign is different but he is not going to win. Even if he did, he would still be working with a deeply corrupt system, and his agenda would lose. A declared Socialist would galvanize the Right, give them majorities, and they would oppose him constantly and shut him down completely.

They will be able to do this because Republicans have better turnout than the Democrats. Conservatives have something to fight against: government overreach, and they have a political party. Progressives do not have a party that will fight against the power of corporations. Hillary is owned by those people. Let her lose.

Yes, it does come down to who votes at the end of the day. One of the democrats main voting blocs, people my age ( though I tend to vote Republican) have historicially been some of the least likely to vote well you do not vote do not complain. In fact many people in that bloc are not even REGISTERED or they let it lapse.

Well; as of 8:30 EST Clinton has won the S.C. with 74% of the vote; and even though I was rooting for Sanders; I think he doesn't stand a chance from here on out.
