Watched Everybody Love Raymond and its an episode that actually DOES annoy me and make me side with Ray (Usually he is at fault and is stupid)

In an episode titled "Lateness"

In this episode ray and his wife have a bet (That she actually makes) that she will be ready and he will NOT have to wait on her as we men normally must do for a woman.

When she is NOT ready, he leaves her as per the agreement. (That SHE made and brought up.... all he said is he doesn't like waiting for her)

She then proceeds to be angry at him as if HE did wrong when SHE is the one that knew full well what would happen if she was NOT in the car by the set time.

Now, I don't ever see myself making a similar bet if I ever have a wife, but... if I did and she did NOT follow through on her end she had darn well better expect to be left at home (They had a second car and she could have drove when she was ready, instead she wants to be mad at him)

So everyone vilifies Raymond when he did ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong in this one instance.

In the show the reason she ISN'T in the car is because the curling iron gets stuck in her hair..... yet.... 2 seconds before that she said "3 minutes to spare" and was essentially done getting ready, she then grabbed the curling iron and........ but if its not the curling iron its ALWAYS something....

It doesnt normally happen on this show (I've already seen this one) but when I see it, every time it just annoys me that he is supposedly wrong. Yes, he left his wife.... but its not like they were at a truck stop 5 states away.... he left her at home with access to her own car and she is legally able and physically capable of driving when she knew that he didn't want to be late to his awards ceremony.

*end rant*
