Thanks for sharing those great pics. I think it is possible that Babylon could rise again as a significant player in the end times. I am not dogmatic about it though.Babilon must be build again!
Shame poor Sadam, the NWO took him by surprise. He thought he could fulfill prophecy by himself, but he was wrong. Today we see the internal affairs of the NWO and understand it's plan to unite the world and divide the world into 10 regions. It is so obvious today to understand the plan and to understand prophecy molding into the fulfillment of the NWO. This is the reason for ISIS to help the NWO to organised the countries and shape them to the NWO plan. The NWO is structuring the toes of Nebukadnesar..
The book of Revelation symbolically calls the end-time evil world empire Babylon.
Today one might call it the New World Order.
The important thing to understand is the historical pattern.
It's important to know what ancient Babylon did. It conquered the ancient world and in the process
it destroyed and enslaved God's people. It's also important to know how God's people were liberated
from ancient Babylon. That part of Israel's history is also symbolically told in Revelation. For example,
the symbolic white horse in Rev 19 is an important symbol from the history of that OT period.
.
The world divided into ten regions has a flaw in that near the end of the 7 years in Daniel 11:40-46, the kings of the south, north, and east attack the beast - which would mean the beast's kingdom fighting against itself. And it would not meet the requirements of the fourth empire being the end times version of the Roman Empire.Shame poor Sadam, the NWO took him by surprise. Overall, the world will be acting like that the last 42 months. But as I understand, within that overall state of the world, there will be four major power blocks, the west, north, south, east ..... with the west being the dominant power block.IMHO when we think of world empires we have to go back to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel where our Father first scattered the nations. The world has been trying to come back together as one since that time.

The EU fits more the description, which would place the beast as the king of the west - who will at the end of the 7 years battle the other three quadrants of the world, i.e. north, south, east.

Exactly !
There are three Babylons in the Bible.
Tower of Babel = city
Ancient Babylonian empire = regional
Mystery Babylon = global
The repeated pattern is that in all three the people are one.
This is why ancient Babylon moved people around its vast empire...
moving people from their ancient homelands and moving different
people in... just like Mystery Babylon, the NWO, does today... it is
a way of destroying ancient heritages... destroying loyalty to ethnos,
religion, culture, land, etc... to make diverse people "one" = Babylonians.
When God's anointed king, Cyrus, conquered Babylon... he returned
Babylon's captives back to their native lands and restored national heritages.
This is the history behind Jeremiah 51:9
" We would have healed Babylon, but she was not healed.
Forsake her, and let us go each to his own country,
for her judgment has reached up to heaven
and has been lifted up even to the skies. "

But I don't disagree with what you are saying overall, because for one thing, imo, the beast will be possessed by the unclean spirit of Nimrod himself, who will drive him to rebel against God and unifying the world to do so.
Over at the Jews' counter(Christian)missionary site, MessiahTruth.com, I ask the Rabbi's over there what in Judaism's view was the meaning of the "let's make a name for ourselves" in the tower of babel verses. The response coming from the rabbi was that the people building the tower desired to make war against God.
Daniel 11 up to verse 21 seems to be ancient history.
From verse 22-43, we see things that haven't happened yet and your theory Dougg, doesn't work because it is the king of the North that invades the Holy Land and desecrates the Temple.

This powerful leader, the one we call the Anti-Christ will rise to power against all expectations... Daniel 11:23-24
He will have to fight to overcome resistance to his dictatorial rule, but he will beat them. Daniel 11:40-43
There will be agreement at the end, because they all agree to attack Jerusalem and gather at Armageddon. Revelation 16:12-16 Jesus will destroy them all at His Return. Revelation 19:19-21
Thanks! I can see this too. But we have no clear picture from the Bible what the culture of Babel looked like except for the tower. And God thought that their plans were capable of being successful. So when look at the world today, do we see something similar coming into play? Are the dots connecting.
Yeah, I was thinking that the West is pretty much absent from the events in Ezekiel and though Rome is prevalent in Daniel's statue, by the time we see the feet, everything is all mixed up.
