The Bible tell us that it will not take 1.1 Billion years for that to happen."But long before that, in 1.1 billion years, the Sun will grow 11% brighter, raising average terrestrial temperatures to around 50 °C (120 °F). That will warm the oceans so much that they evaporate without boiling, like a pan of water left on a sunny kitchen counter.
Right, so how does that fit the words of Christ in your mind?
The OP actually was not about you.
So you want to evacuate the planet, and call this perfect confidence?
The OP actually was not about you. If you disagree with Hawking and others, be clear. I am not here to guess what some posters think.
So, you want to evacuate earth? You think aliens are coming? Let's look at you then for a minute.
So you don't know if you are real or last week was real? How about your mom, was she real? Your nose? Were you there? The only stories I've seen were written decades later by people who weren't eye witnesses. So what evidence do you have?
Did you hear about the other 2 holes in the course that day dug for the 2 guys that refused to witness?Did you know Kim Jong-Il went golfing for the first time ever, on a full length course, and shot -38? He had five holes in one. And had seventeen eye witnesses, who all attested to his score.

"Let's hope we can avoid dropping the basket until we have spread the load."I don't think he means we need to evacuate the earth. He means we need to spread to other planets.
Gong! There is better records of Christ than many others.I have first hand evidence of all those. And historical figures I believe existed have numerous independent attestations. Jesus has none of those. The resurrection has none.
It was humor.Huh? What makes you say this? There were seventeen eye witnesses, all of whom attested to the event occurring.

No, I was questioning the grip on reality of a poster that seemed unsure of anything at all.Are you admitting that last week wasn't real?
Yes. Outside. Not outside of the Bible.

The drop anchor scene was the best part of the movie I think. A naval fishtail right in E.T's face.Like the movie Battleship. The boys really liked that one.

“Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach,” Hawking speculated."

No. You?So you're not questioning the possibility that last week was in a different state?

I personally don't think any of these type scientists will have to worry about living long enough to see a terrestrial evacuation due to an alien invasion.
