  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I thought you were talking about languages.. why can't more Americans just learn Spanish (or any other language) while foreigners who come here can learn English?
I think learning another language is a great idea. Some day you might want to visit Canada, France or Mexico. However, learning another language because we are overrun with illegal aliens who speak that language and won't learn ours is contrary to the idea of America being a melting pot. We want people who are coming here to be Americans, not who are here to suck off the American taxpayer like parasites. I can appreciate that farm laborers are usually very hard workers. I can also appreciate the fact that the jobs will still be there for them if they fill out the right forms, get a background check, and enter the country legally.

Did I miss something here???? If you can "Press 1 for English, Press 2 for Spanish" you don't have to learn another language, do you???? You can just press 1!!!!

Yes it is a hate crime if it is put on a Muslims doorknob

More specifically it was put on the door knob of a mosque. Reminds me of the pettiness that leads to communal riots in India. A Muslim kills a cow because he likes to eat beef. A Hindu then brings in a dog to urinate in the mosque. Next thing you know, they are killing each other.

They sure did, didn't they?

That's pretty racist. Those gangs started in the US, but yes a lot its members were from Central America. They got sent back, only to create total chaos in the countries they were sent back to. That in turn created hundreds of thousands of refugees who then fled to the US. In any case, this criminal element made up only the tiniest portion of the immigrants.

Press 1 for Spanish ,press 2 for English.

And that offends you?

I'm sure our officials have solid info on who are the criminals who are undocumented oh wouldent having intelligence on undocumented people be a oxymoron?

Relevance?

Really have you been to a construction site lately?

That's pretty hard work too, but I think employers in the construction industry should be made to use e-verify to make sure their workers are legal. Most Americans don't want to pick crops but they would like well-paying construction jobs.

Have you ever picked crops?

Yeah, but I didn't last long. Couldn't keep up with the Hispanics.

As well I am in the construction industry.
Wages that were paid in 1979 are being paid to illegals today
FYI the people who hire them must speak Spanish or they cannot supervise them

So why not go after the employers hiring undocumented workers?

The laws were passed, George refused to enforce them.

False. This is the context of that statement. There was a dire lack of hard currency in the colonies and the colonialists had asked their Governors to issue paper money but the king wouldn't allow it.

odd- i first encountered the saying 15 years before 9/11

Evidence that it comes from an Islamic source?

but if there is no law stopping the usa from disallowing immigrants whose philosophy is diametrically opposed to that of the usa -then i have an ever decreasing estimation-of American common sense

They can and they do.

and yes . dehumanization is typical of Islamic and atheistic thinking

Since I assume you are not an atheist, when did you convert to Islam?

still you are about to take in unprecedented number of peoples who all hold to an unrelenting nonnegotiable philosophy that is diametrically opposeds to the values of your own nation . and its not being done accidentally. no one woke up one morning and said oops who left the gate open

Sounds like you are describing your own religious beliefs. It is certainly not the attitude our Founding Fathers had towards Islam:
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims); and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Mohammedan) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
Treaty of Tripoli 1797

sure .i wasn't sure what you were referring to by the "ground zero mosque" .. all i know is my dad returned from israel many years ago ..many years before 9'11 occurred and told me this saying was spoken by the muslims there .

So you never encountered it from a Muslim source?

Also in my own country youths have been heard while fighting with locals .."we don't care what you think .. we are going to rule your country one day any way "

I though you were from Florida?

-this thinking is prevalent among islamic philosophy -you don't submit to others all other must submit to you. -not that it bothers me - as the lord Jesus will return and destroy ALL the kingdoms of the world .. and establish righteousness . the use and rome both being among the kingdoms that wil be destroyed

Ah, so you think the same way they do.

He most certainly has.

I failed to hear the word "all" which is what you asserted. Obama has suggested that we offer amnesty to some illegal immigrants, most especially those who came as children and were educated here.

I hope you understand the difference between some and all.

The difference between 'some' and 'all' in politics is the
difference between 'now' and 'eventually'.

The problem isn't the number of legal EO's but the illegal
ones meant to sidestep Congress. Obama has the lead there.
First, how do you define "illegal EO's"?

Second, could you show the statistics? I'm curious.

When a person comes into America illegally, this is how it works as I have witnessed first hand:

A large truck pulls to a side road ,this road is on a less traveled route.

The back door opens and a truck load of small dark haired people with bags and back packs jump out and run.

Others have witnessed this running of the undocumented on a regular basis.

We are asked how do we know if they are deserving?
Some or all ?

Someone please tell me what the background of the jumpers is,or if they are rapist, murderers, drug dealers or just the humble people who pick our crops and build our homes.
How do you qualify someone illegal?
Do we know their name let alone their background?

Are we this sensitive that we forgo our safety?

Anyone who thinks untold millions of people entering a country with no documentation is a grand cause for humanitarian effort,is completely out of touch with reality.

And your evidence they are illegal is?

And why doesn't Congress impeach him if this is true?

Because he has support from those who are blind to reality.

If a person cannot see the tremendous amount of cost to our social services, the loss due to casualty from driving illegal that over burdens insurance company's and there for we pay higher cost.

The price we pay for shoplifting in higher cost, our medical insurance due to indigent care, the loss of tax revenue because illegals deal in cash no SS. number.
