The best way to learn is to sit and study the Bible itself. Anything else is some one else's opinion.
It's finding the time that is hard. I find it to be a lot of effort because I have to read or listen to the same thing over and think about what it really means.

All of this time and effort is well spent. Other peoples opinions can lead you/me into a false doctrine or god. We need to pray for the Holy Spirit to give us knowledge, understanding, and wisdom as we read and study. You will be surprised how the Holy Spirit will open up these things for you. Try it. And do your own studying.

Thanks in advance !

Hi,

Seriously though, I see people here telling you to read The Bible. Yes, do that. I had an agenda and that helped me.

In that agenda, I found it imperative to have something like the Good News Bible along with all and any other things you wish to use, like references to the Old languages.

I like Albions and some others ways here, Biblically. I cannot remember them all. I used several Bibles and found enough variations in them that actually ceased to exist when I compared all of their translations together. I don't remember why that worked, but it did work.

And again, a simple Bible like The Good News Bible gives you the general ideas and really speeds things along, at least for me in the beginning.

Also, on any subject, I found I had to have every single passage in the whole Bible before me on that subject, to understand what God actually meant.

LOVE,

I am a big fan of Ligonier Ministries and R.C. Sproul's daily podcast called "Renewing Your Mind" he puts things in an interesting way and it can be easy to follow. I take notes while listening as that's how I best commit things to memory. I also have his learning series "Keeping in Step With the Spirit" and "Think Like A Christian." I could see how much they are on the website and see if I can order them to you.

But you can listen to his podcast on their website or download a podcast app and get them all from there. That way you can give a few a listen and see if it's to your liking.

It is just hard finding time too. I would like to go through the whole bible before I die but I get so boggled down with everyday life and that I tend to push it to the back of everything. A southern Baptist told me one time that you are not to lay any other books on top of the bible.

You might enjoy James White's books also, if you like R C Sproul and Liginier.

YW; he's written one on the Biblical doctrine of the Trinity which is really good.
Will be the first I'll look for. Learned so much from R.C. and hope to learn so much more. The Bible is just full of so many amazing things that completely blows my mind. I can only imagine what I'd know if I didn't spend most my life trying to make myself believe He wasn't there.

Well, you have a young mind that can still take things in more easily than some of us who are a bit older; and a sound reading habit at your stage of life - if I may say so - is a great foundation, not only for personal edification but to use in opportunities to encourage and challenge others.

(Also posted to your personal page.)

Blessings.

I have plenty of time in my day to sit down and read at least a few chapters. It's all about dedication.. And oddly enough my pastor spoke on so.ething relative to the subject today. Always seems to happen [emoji1]

Well, you and I are 'sitting on the shoulders of giants', so to speak, but already our exercise should be along the lines of how to help others also.
