I believe the Bible is the literal word of God.

Thus I believe there truly is a firmament, the sky is the firmament.

We are living on a flat disc earth, surrounded in a physical firmament, in which God's watches over all of us, like a snow globe.

I believe the rhetoric that Earth is a spinning ball moving a millions miles per day around the sun, in a solar system, in a galaxy, in a universe, is a complete and utter lie, to try to hide God from us, and take away the relevance of planet earth, God's main creation.

But what would be the point? I have a hard time thinking there's a big conspiracy about the shape of the earth, but w/e floats your boat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can't tell sometimes... Are you trying to make biblical literalism look stupid with this reductio ad absurdum or do you actually believe this?

I don't know what that term you used is, but I'm not "trying to do" anything. This is what I believe. The Earth is Flat. I'm not going to bother listing the countless amounts of evidence but you can look it up on youtube if you want.

Heres a few starting points:
- City skylines visible from hundreds of miles away when the curvature of the earth should have them beneath the surface
- No stars in any photo of the earth
- No stars in the moon photos
- Every bible verse suggest a flat earth surrounded by a firmament
- We have no footage of the earth that doesn't have a fish eye lens added

It goes really deep if you really want to know.

The point is to hide God, thats why on a Christian forum we should care.

If people know the earth is flat and surrounded by a firmament they know God is real.

If they know God is real they no longer fear or obey the government, because God is the ultimate authority, not liars in black suits.

We couldn't go high enough or far enough to know the true shape of the earth until the 1900's.

The theory is that when exploring Antarctica we found the edge, where the firmament connects to the ground. (The earth being a flat disc with Antarctica being the outer circle)

It is very hard for people to emotional understand that the world government, NASA, and education system is lying to us.

They want us to believe the rhetoric that we are little dot rotating around the sun in the solar system, in the galaxy, in the universe, and we don't really matter.

If God created everything why would he send his only Son, to THIS random planet?

That's where you need to make a thought decision, do you believe the bible is the word of God, or do you believe the beliefs of Man?

Because it is hard to truly believe in God's true nature if you believe we are some random little dot in the universe.

But if you realize the truth that we ARE it, there is no outer space, its the world, heaven, and hell, that's it.

Everything is inside the firmament, the land, greater light ( sun ), and lesser light ( moon), and the stars, which are just lights, that God made.

I am 100% sure that what I'm saying is the true, and if you disagree you are going against the Word of God, which describes a flat earth, surrounded with a firmament. ( which is a glass dome shape )

I believed otherwise for the first 18 years of my life and then I came to reality, and man, did it change the way I view God and the Bible. Now I know it is literal and the Word of God.

Its a lot easier to understand once you realize that the earth is flat

If you want to do more research, there's great information on youtube. Just look up Flat Earth.

Youtube the great explainer of everything.

Here is a thread that we had not long ago that covers most of your points; these kind of arguments make Christians look foolish; and the least little bit of intelligent research would prove flat earth theories false. Here is just one: The reason you don't see stars in most extra-terrestrial pictures is; that the bright earth and moon; over-expose the cameras; Hubble sees more stars then we ever knew exited before; making God's infinite universe that much more awesome. That He built this wonderful, stupendous, enormous universe; and then only put human life on this one round pearl in the vastness of space; shows to me His greatness and, human mind-numbing; wisdom.

Wow an actual 'flat-earther', never thought I would actually come into contact with one. I thought the whole 'flat earther thing was a joke, but it looks like some people really do believe this. Wow, just wow. Have you ever looked through a big telescope?

'Usually, even a non-Christian knows something about the earth, the heavens, and the other elements of this world, about the motion and orbit of the stars and even their size and relative positions, about the predictable eclipses of the sun and moon, the cycles of the years and the seasons, about the kinds of animals, shrubs, stones, and so forth, and this knowledge he hold to as being certain from reason and experience. Now, it is a disgraceful and dangerous thing for an infidel to hear a Christian, presumably giving the meaning of Holy Scripture, talking nonsense on these topics; and we should take all means to prevent such an embarrassing situation, in which people show up vast ignorance in a Christian and laugh it to scorn. The shame is not so much that an ignorant individual is derided, but that people outside the household of faith think our sacred writers held such opinions, and, to the great loss of those for whose salvation we toil, the writers of our Scripture are criticized and rejected as unlearned men. If they find a Christian mistaken in a field which they themselves know well and hear him maintaining his foolish opinions about our books, how are they going to believe those books in matters concerning the resurrection of the dead, the hope of eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven, when they think their pages are full of falsehoods and on facts which they themselves have learnt from experience and the light of reason? Reckless and incompetent expounders of Holy Scripture bring untold trouble and sorrow on their wiser brethren when they are caught in one of their mischievous false opinions and are taken to task by those who are not bound by the authority of our sacred books. For then, to defend their utterly foolish and obviously untrue statements, they will try to call upon Holy Scripture for proof and even recite from memory many passages which they think support their position, although they understand neither what they say nor the things about which they make assertion. [1 Timothy 1.7]'

Ok I believe the bible and I believe in a literal interpretation of the scriptures as well.

But the scriptures does not teach a flat earth. There is such a thing as hyper-literalism, which is probably what you are doing to teach a flat earth.

Let me give you an example
The bible says the Lord God is a sun and shield.
God is not a literal sun, and he is not a literal shield.

Max, when I first got saved, I became immersed in conspiracy theories, and I believe most of them not to be true anymore, it really got my focus off of Christ.

Go read Romans 1:1 and tell me what the focus of our lives should be.

So how do you walk around a flat Earth? All the people who've circumnavigated the globe are what, lying?

Actually MaxR is entirely correct in saying that biblical cosmology is of a flat earth with a dome (firmament ) overhead. It reflects the tribal understandings of a long ago time and place. A literal inerrant understanding of the bible can actually lead us AWAY from the truth. I will no longer feed this troll.

You don't understand you can circumnavigate around a flat earth....Its just going around a circle.

None of you have given concrete evidence proving the earth is a globe.
