  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Then do a bit of homework and show us it was not true. Prove your case, give us some sort of evidence that would help to substantiate your claim. It is time to quite flaming people and provide a few points to defend your position or your belief.
They've already been provided. You hand waved them.

Supremacist beliefs come from Darwin and the Evolution belief system. Christians follow the teaching of Jesus the Christ. His teaching were to be humble and to seek to be a servant. The greatest in the Kingdom of God is the least here in this world. If you understand the Christian beliefs then you would know that supremacist beliefs are just the opposite.

Matt 20 "27 whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Simple answer, no they do not. Your claim that a theory that states that there is no meaningful difference between the races is behind white supremacy is beyond absurd. Supremacist beliefs come from racists not theories, and both the KKK and the Nazi's condemn the theory of evolution (it was banned in Germany, undeniable fact) . If you want to know why the Jews were targeted in Germany, I suggest you read the works of Martin luther, not Darwin.

But this thread is about the "final solution".

Indeed it is.

joshua - Post #1 said:
We are told that two thirds of the "Jews" were killed in Europe as a part of the Nazi's final solution.

Reasonably accurate.

joshua - Post #1 said:
Where was the repentance with science? Where was the repentance with evolutionists for their involvement in the final solution?

"repentance"?

Science, specifically evolution, did not contribute to the Jewish extermination. Ages old Christian hatred was the sole cause. It has been clearly demonstrated, from various sources, by various posters, that anti-semitism was rampant in Europe hundreds of years before Darwin even lived.

There was no repentance from "evolutionists" because there was no reason for it.

joshua - Post #1 said:
Perhaps a part of that question is why was there a separation between Hebrew and NON Hebrew to the degree that they could be singled out and marked for extermination the way they were.

Not "perhaps" and not "a part". Jews were singled out by German Christians in the 1930's / 1940's exactly the same ways and for the same reasons they had been singled out for over 1000 years by Christians all across Europe.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhineland_massacres
There had not been so broad a movement against Jews by Catholics since the seventh century's mass expulsions and forced conversions. While there had been a number of regional persecutions of Jews by Catholics, such as the one in Metz in 888, a plot against Jews in Limoges in 992, a wave of anti-Jewish persecution by Christian millenniary movements (who believed that Jesus was set to descend from Heaven) in the year 1000,

joshua - Post #1 said:
So there are many aspects of this that needs further examination today.

Pertinent aspects have been examined. The undeniable conclusion is that the cause of "the Nazi's final solution" was ages old Christian hatred for Jews.

joshua said:
Whatever "mental gymnastics" it takes to continue to win a debate even though it is five against one.

Perhaps you need to consider the implications of your own comment:
  1. You are admitting that you have no basis for your viewpoint other than your own "mental gymnastics".
  2. This is not an argument of atheists vs theists. Atheist and non-atheists are in disagreement with your position.

Will you show repentance for starting a thread based on a completely erroneous premise?

Do you have anything to add to the conversation. Or do the five of you plan to continue to try and gang up on me and flame me to the best of your ability. Whenever the evolutionists are losing then they do their best to shut down a tread. It just shows how weak the evolutionary belief system is and the extent they have to go to in their vain attempts to defend it.

Horse hockey. You have done nothing to back up your claim that evolution was directly responsible for the Holocaust. You have just repeated Creationist PRATT's time and time again, and when shown to be wrong, you just ignore those posts and just carry on.

Well, Edward I DID expel all Jews from England. That's pretty poor treatment.

Edit: ninja'd.

And, again, England is not the British Isles. Look at the treatment of Jews in Scotland.

are you forgetting the full title of his book?
"origin of species AND THE PRESERVATION OF THE FAVORED RACES"

In the terminology of the late 1800s, race was used to refer to animals as we use species now.
If you would actually read the book, no where does Darwin mention anything about one race of humans being superior to another.

The point was that Hitler mentions natural selection in his book Mein Kampf: "Nature selects the best from an abundance of single elements and stamps them as fit to live and carry on the conservation of the species."

The subtitle of The Origin of Species was "The Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life". This sounds like racism to me. Do you want to address this issue or are you going to side step it again?

In The Descent of Man, did Darwin claimed that certain races, such as blacks and Aborigines, were inferior and that in due course, they would be eliminated and disappear in the struggle for survival?

Did Darwin say this?:
“At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate and replace throughout the world the savage races."
Yes, Darwin lived in the 1800s, of course he was racist. However, favored races in his Origin of Species book refers to groups of animals; human evolution isn't in it.

Additionally, it was a banned text in Nazi Germany.

Further, even if someone could justify killing people for the sake of evolution, it wouldn't make the theory wrong; scientific theories like that have no inherent morality, and it is our responsibility to not abuse them.

If the ability to use it to justify killing did make something wrong, nearly every religion, including Christianity, would be immoral.

So what about current events: should we accept more Syrian refugees? Because if we had taken Hebrew refuges then there would have been no need for Hitler to kill them. He would have even paid their transportation. We have our own problems today and we need to decide if we are going to solve those problems or ignore them.

Its all Newton's fault! If he had not come up with his theories there would never have been V2s!
Actually it was Einstein that killed more people that anyone in history. "In November 1954, five months before his death, Einstein summarized his feelings about his role in the creation of the atomic bomb: "I made one great mistake in my life... when I signed the letter to President Roosevelt recommending that atom bombs be made; but there was some justification - the danger that the Germans would make them."

That question has literally NOTHING to do with evolution. That's a political and sociological question.

We? I think you making assumptions about which country I am from, and that it is the same as your own.

Also, people didn't know about the death camps until the war was already on, and Hitler was preventing people from leaving.

Actually, more people would have likely died if we hadn't dropped the bombs, given that Japan was so resistant to surrender that common citizens were being told to arm themselves however they could and fight back rather than surrender. It was estimated that a naval and carpet bombing tactic would extend the war 2-3 years, and more than double the casualties on both sides.
