  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So now you're disparaging an entire country of people by calling them antisemitic? Fantastic.
Most of the world at that time did not want to do anything to protect the Semitic people. Hitler would have been very happy with the solution to ship them off to someone else. Only no one wanted them.

I highly doubt that was a scientific belief.
Germany had a history of antisemitism, not in the least bit helped by the writings of Martin Luther.

Not Germany, the Christian world. And honestly Martin Luther was for a while one of the few rays of hope on that issue. People just like to put the blame on him because it makes us feel better, it allows us to ignore that the attitude was widespread and was sure to have been held by most of our ancestors.

As I understand it, the Jews were blamed for tainting bloodlines.

Jesus had perfect blood, but the Jews crucified Him, then went and intermixed with everyone else.

Scientific bologna at its worst.

And of course forgotten is Jesus was a Jew.

Hitler to some degree had the support of Christians and Catholics. He could not have gotten elected without their support. He did manage to deceive them but that does not make him a creationist Christian. The fact that you think Martin Luther: "inflame Christians to murder Jews" just adds to the fact that Darwin incited racism and the false sense of superiority that inflamed the Nazi regime. So your claim not only does not help your case, by your admission it shows how Darwin's theory "inflame" many different groups toward racism.
The Christian leader, Luther, wrote about killing Jews. His writings were adopted and used by Hitler. Luther died in 1546.

Darwin's On the Origin of Species was published in 1859.
You want to tell us again how Darwin's writings inspired Luther's hatred of Jews.

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/Inquisition.html
While many people associate the Inquisition with Spain and Portugal, it was actually instituted by Pope Innocent III (1198-1216) in Rome. A later pope, Pope Gregory IX established the Inquisition, in 1233

In 1242, the Inquisition condemned the Talmud and burned thousands of volumes. In 1288, the first mass burning of Jews on the stake took place in France.

In 1481 the Inquisition started in Spain and ultimately surpassed the medieval Inquisition, in both scope and intensity.
Darwin's On the Origin of Species was published in 1859.
You want to tell us again how Darwin's writings inspired killing of Jews.

Martin Luther was a German. Does that not make him antisemitic by definition? Hitler was German, the Final Solution was the solution that Germans came up with for what they perceived to be a problem.
See my post above about the Inquisition. The common thread in killing Jews is not Germany, it is Christianity.

This is why the name of the tread is the Final Solution. Germany had what they perceived to be a long standing problem and now they had arrived at a solution to the problem. One that they perhaps felt was humane.

For the record I had no real plans of any direction to go in with this topic. I am just going along with the evolutionists and the direction that they seem to want to go in. It did not really matter to me what aspect of this topic we discussed. I am still open to looking into this so called final solution in any way anyone may want to have a discussion about it.
You skipped this part of my post:
In this Country, most White Supremacists and members of KKK are Christians who do not believe in evolution. They attack Jews, blacks and homosexuals based on their Christian beliefs, not on anything Darwin may or may not have said or believed.

Whatever "mental gymnastics" it takes to continue to win a debate even though it is five against one.

Can not really do that here because you have to give the link for your quote. So people can look to check it out for themselves.

None of that makes sense. You're just rambling.

I do think that it was more a problem with mainland European Christianity. I haven't seen many cases of Jews being treated poorly in the British Isles during the Medieval/Renaissance. Heck, Scotland was quite embracing to Jews.

Erm.. The Jews were thrown out of England by the Edict of Expulsion signed by Edward 1st in 1290.

It was under Cromwell in the middle of the 17th century that it was lifted.

Sadly, it was us as well mate, it goes back a bit further though.

http://www.historyofyork.org.uk/themes/norman/the-1190-massacre

On March 16th 1190 a wave of anti-Semitic riots culminated in the massacre of an estimated 150 Jews – the entire Jewish community of York – who had taken refuge in the royal castle where Clifford’s Tower now stands. The chronicler William of Newburgh described the rioters as York acting “without any scruple of Christian conscientiousness” in wiping out the Jewish community. And William was not the only chronicler to record these lamentable acts, as the Chronicles of the Abbey of Meaux in East Yorkshire, and Roger of Howden include accounts.

Edit: Goonie beat me to it.

That's the only one I've heard of though.
And again, England is not the entire British Isles. As I said, they enjoyed a slightly better time in Scotland (or as much as you could enjoy it in Medieval Scotland).

Well, Edward I DID expel all Jews from England. That's pretty poor treatment.

Edit: ninja'd.

Do you have anything to add to the conversation. Or do the five of you plan to continue to try and gang up on me and flame me to the best of your ability. Whenever the evolutionists are losing then they do their best to shut down a tread. It just shows how weak the evolutionary belief system is and the extent they have to go to in their vain attempts to defend it.

No true Scotsman Creationist.
Then do a bit of homework and show us it was not true. Prove your case, give us some sort of evidence that would help to substantiate your claim. It is time to quite flaming people and provide a few points to defend your position or your belief.

Supremacist beliefs come from Darwin and the Evolution belief system. Christians follow the teaching of Jesus the Christ. His teaching were to be humble and to seek to be a servant. The greatest in the Kingdom of God is the least here in this world. If you understand the Christian beliefs then you would know that supremacist beliefs are just the opposite.

Matt 20 "27 whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
