Gerard Butler worked out intensely for 4 months in order to have the body needed for the role in “300”. Some reports say he worked out even harder than professional athletes. To achieve his body, he hired Mark Twight, a former world-class mountain climber. Mark believes that hearing about the workout that lies ahead should make you almost sick. The workouts, which he performed 5 times a week, included Olympic lifts, functional training, and metabolic body movements. One circuit included 25 pull-ups, 50 deadlifts with 135 pounds, 50 pushups, 50 floor wipers, 50 single-arm clean-and-presses using a 36-pound kettle bell, and 25 more pullups and more. This discipline helped him get into the right mentality for the role, as well. His goal was to look “really strong.” Mission accomplished.

He got that result in 4 months? Seriously. I need to get to work.

Sounds like me. Just the other day I went to a store with single purpose in mind, to buy chili sauce. I ended up buying 10-15 things and none of them was the chili sauce!

I do this too. It's very helpful to stave off my stomach speaking for me.

Occasionally I have to write things down, especially if its been hectic. My problem lies in the fact that every time I try to make a list for groceries, bananas keep popping into my head. I like bananas, but that's almost Pavlovian. lol

I had to mix this with some milder salsa to make it edible. I had a couple scoops of it straight from the jar, and it felt like it was eating a hole in my stomach. Much better now, though. And still plenty hot...

Oh yeah, I totally bought a book today! Also watched Insurgent... what a boring series that is.

I liked the Divergent book, but never read Insurgent. The movies didn't look super great. What book did you get?

Lol no it's not. I'm messing around on pinterest and houzz, which helps. But I don't know. I guess it's mixed with a little bit of loneliness. lol Anyhow, sorry to get all emo. I guess I haven't been bored in a long time because I had someone that I talked to every night, and now I don't. So it's just something I have to get use to, something I have to fill my time with otherwise!

I will have to find a new evening/night time hobby. Hmm... Star gazing? Owl watching? lol

I'm really angry - someone by accident dropped and broke a glass, but of all places for it to happen it was over my mortar & pestle and tea apparatus !!!!

Ahh, I'm sorry you lost a friend, if that's what happened. My case was a little different. It became a blessing for me. My "friend" I talked to was very mentally and spiritually unhealthy. I'm glad you're able to find time to fill that gap.
