I feel so dead inside. Things that should bother me do not really bother me anymore. I don't feel like I have much of a capacity to care for others anymore. I just want the world to hurry up so I can be one in the long line of dead human beings. It's amazing in 100 years we won't matter anymore.

Speak for yourself. In 100 years there will be movies made about me, kids will study me in school, and there will probably be statues of me in parks all around the country.

If you realistically want that, you better be prepared to do some evil things. Lol.

Why so glum? I don't know, I don't feel like I'm going anywhere in life. And not sure how much longer I can take it.

When I was young, back when the Earth was new, I felt that way. I didn't really know what I wanted, what I wanted to do, or what I wanted out of life. So, I decided to list all of my positive traits and negative traits. I was brutally honest about it, too. Kind of a life assessment. It was then that I formulated a plan, making sure to make it flexible. You may want to consider doing something like that.

That's why I suggested his taking stock of himself. He has different talents, abilities, ways of looking at life. His conclusions would be totally different than my own, because he is a different person. But, by doing what I did, I also exposed my weaknesses and knew what areas to work on.

I know, I don't disagree with that..... but usually peoples first mistake is by comparing their life to someone elses. Understanding oneself as you suggested is never a bad thing. I think honestly to be happy with oneself, both things must be realized.
