• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why does the earth rotate?

Jesus is the Word of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
Yes, He was a lot of things. God has many names. God with us, for example. The 'I AM' etc. If you have seen me, Jesus said you have seen the Father. Those who know Him know that, unlike Philip when Philip had to be told that.

And this is why billions will be lost at the end. Believing Jesus was God
People are lost because they choose evil over good so they do not want to come to the light. People always quote John 3:16 but you never hear them quote John 3:20.

3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither * cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Do you have even one shred of evidence for this?
Yes the plague in Europe. They even accused the Jewish people of being the cause of the plague because the people who followed the Bible did not seem to be effected by the plague.

What's interesting is that Satan was smart enough to ... when he possessed someone (or ordered them possessed) ... would have them go into epileptic-like seizures and whatnot.

He didn't fool the Jews at the time, and he certainly didn't fool Jesus, Who would simply cast the demon out.

But what he did do, is fool the scientists of the future (i.e., today), who now ridicule the Jews for being ignorant, Bronze Age, goat-herding desert nomads, and also ridicule the Bible for teaching diseases were caused by demons.

A very smart move on his part.

Inside your make believe fairy tale never never land dreamscape invented pasts,,,yes. Of course. Total conjecture and godless twaddle, of course.

You only say that because you don't understand it.

Great, so why are planets rotating other ways than in your dream world? In what way does watching a toilet flush and water swirl mean that creation made all the universe like that? You guys should give your collective head a shake.

SHow me a single example of this that is impossible according to scientific laws.
 1. No. The sun is the sun. God created it FOR me. For you. For us. That is why it exists. Stars are not the sun, and you do not have a clue how big they are, what they are really all about, or how far they are. Period. Just to get out of the starting gate you would NEED to NOW that time exists where stars are to have distances. You are nowhere close to reaching that simple point yet. Everything you utter is fantasy and baseless regarding the universe and stars. Don't even waste outr time talking unless and until you know whether time exists out there as it does here.

Then why do we see that it has exactly the same spectrum as other g type stars?

Yes. That shows you made it up, cause you saw nothing. You invented a model of how the universe runs BASED on earth and area, and this present state laws, and fabricated the universe laws you claim from that. Totally worthless.

Did you see your parents ever wear nappies? No? Well, obviously they did when they were babies, but you weren't around then, so of course you couldn't see it.

Moral of the story - things can happen before you were around to see them.

Gravity is a near earth present state feature. Whether gravity exists as we know it on earth in the future, you have no idea. Whether it exists as it does here exactly in deep space I dare you to try to prove. You look at things you know not how big or far away, and assume gravity as we know it is doing all that we see done. Pretty lame.

Please. You need to get over this. You have been utterly incapable of producing any evidence to support this claim of yours, and both I and other people have shown you why it is false.

Thankfully God has a sense of humor, even in creation! he made enough spin another way so as to show us that science is a joke and not to be believed! he busted science before it existed!

You don't get truth by assuming what you want to prove.

Yeah right, tooth fairies, spaghetti monsters, various smash ups you invent, etc etc. Whatever special pleading you care to invoke to explain things and cannot begin to prove. Pathetic.

Claiming that something is silly isn't a very good way of showing it is wrong. How about you start by pointing out where the mistake is in the mathematics the scientists used to figure it all out?

Same difference. For the earlier fantasies you have molecules and smaller imaginary items smashing into each other and causing spin, later you have planets and whatnot doing it. Total imagination. Godless conjecture. A violation of fact and truth and an assault on the Christ of creation.

No, it is not the same thing. The thing that started it and the thing that changes it are not the same thing.

I'm starting to suspect quite strongly that you are a troll...

Moses talks a lot about hygiene. At one time the people who followed the teaching of the Bible did much better at avoiding the plague then the people who ignored the teaching we find in the Bible. Although today Science does seem to go beyond the Bible. Science recommends a plant based diet where the Bible allows some meat. Most people do not follow the Bible or Science in their recommendations for healthy living. Christians do tend to have better health and they do tend to live at least 5 years longer then non christians.

Chapter and verse for these passages where Moses talks about hygiene? And why does the Bible not make the very good advice of washing your hands after you poop?

Only "You" are claiming God did it when people get sick - or people that feel the need to blame someone.

If God could prevent deadly illness and yet doesn't, why shouldn't he take the blame?

God instituted laws of cleanliness - Almost the entire law of Moses concerns foods that are unclean - cleanliness practices - hygiene. Laws given to help prevent that sickness.

And yet the Bible never tells us to wash our hands before we eat. Why not?

Tornadoes - Hurricanes - etc are not acts of God. They are natural events.

So God set up a system where they would spontaneously develop?

There is only one being in control of this planet - if you feel the need to blame someone - blame him. Stop trying the "Goddidit" spiel when He in fact didn't do anything except institute laws to prevent that sickness - hygiene practices.

http://biblehub.com/1_john/5-19.htm

Funny, you claim that one being is God, so now you are telling me to blame God when earlier you were telling me not to?

And if God wanted us to have laws preventing sickness, why didn't he ever tell us to wash our hands after we go to the toilet or before we eat?

As the plague swept across Europe in the mid-14th century, annihilating nearly half the population, Jews were taken as scapegoats, in part because isolation in the ghettos meant in some places that Jews were less affected.[1][2] Accusations spread that Jews had caused the disease by deliberately poisoning wells.[3][4]

The first massacres directly related to the plague took place in April 1348 in Toulon, France, where the Jewish quarter was sacked, and forty Jews were murdered in their homes, then in Barcelona.[5] In 1349, massacres and persecution spread across Europe, including the Erfurt massacre (1349), the Basel massacre, massacres in Aragon, and Flanders.[6][7] 900 Jews were burnt alive on 14 February 1349 in the "Valentine's Day" Strasbourg massacre, where the plague had not yet affected the city.[8] Many hundreds of Jewish communities were destroyed in this period. Of the 510 Jewish communities so destroyed in this period, some killed themselves to avoid the persecutions.[9] wiki

However, Jews regularly ritually washed and bathed, and their abodes were slightly cleaner than their Christian neighbors'. Consequently, when the rat and the flea brought the Black Death, Jews, with better hygiene, suffered less severely ...

Moses had strict laws for going to the toilet and washing your hands after. We can tell the Hebrew campsites because the toilets were required to be a exact distance from the camp, so their campsite looks like a foot. They were not allowed to leave the camp to gather wood on the Sabbath. They were only allowed to walk far enough to get to the toilet and back again. Moses wrote a lot on what is clean and what is unclean. Today Science is even more strict then Moses in what they consider to be clean and unclean. For most people it is enough to follow the teaching of Moses and we do not need to add to that. Today we grind up the fat and put it in the hamburger to eat. In the Bible you were to burn the fat off in the fire and not eat it. We know today that the leading cause of death is heart disease caused by eating a high fat diet. Even 3500 years ago Moses knew that this was not a healthy diet. Daniel even goes a step further and he did not eat meat at all, he and his fellows only ate vegetables. They were more healthy then the people that ate the from the Kings table.

Apart from the millions of Christians who got the plague and died, erm Christians were following the bible as well weren't they?

When planets or galaxies have a different rotation than the uniform event of the big bang and subsequent imaginary smash ups predict..they do what any cult does. They invent exotic scenarios to excuse the exceptions. Total dreams.

You see light here on earth. You put light through a prism here on earth. You therefore only get what can be gotten here. Since you do not know how far away or big the other points of light you cite are you cannot attach much meaning to the stars having some of the same elements etc! The space station has some of the same elements as earth...so? That doesn't mean both are planets.

Either one. If you follow the laws of God you will benefit. In this case the law has to do with sanitation.

No, because you don't.

Our track records speak very differently. You have consistantly denied science and always you have been unable to provide any rational grounds for that denial.

When planets or galaxies have a different rotation than the uniform event of the big bang and subsequent imaginary smash ups predict..they do what any cult does. They invent exotic scenarios to excuse the exceptions. Total dreams.

My goodness, you do seem to be getting carried away.

And you don't seem, to understand that what we see elsewhere in the universe is absolutely the same as what we see here.

You cannot plead that not seeing things at all helps you!

Then why do you make that same claim?

Like creation. The door swings both ways.

So which one has the evidence from reality?

No, stop the insane denial.

It's not denial. It is fact. You have never been able to provide any positive support for your claims.

I get truth by hearing God's word. Science gets squat.

Funny how people of every religion say the same thing.

OK, easy to do. Show the math in your own words, or a short concise quote.

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/...lted-impact-double-blows-moons-space-science/

This guy ran computer simulations to see what could have happened. While I don't have the details of the program he used, I'm certain he does. Please feel free to contact him and request the details for yourself. If you do, I certainly hope you'll make your communications public so we can all see what he says.

Here's his contact details. http://www.iau.org/administration/membership/individual/11712/

(Now, I'm half suspecting that you are going to find some way to get out of actually putting your money where your mouth is, as we say here in Australia. Perhaps you will claim that because I can't explain it myself that it doesn't count, even though that isn't enough to make it useless.)
That all depends on what the 'thing' is.

That all you got??
So you're answer is to claim that you get to arbitrarily choose whether it counts or not, based on whether you want it to?

That all YOU got? Because it sure ain't much.

So the godly christians followed the same hygiene as the jews but proportionally more christians got the plague. I guess this proves the jews are indeed god's chosen people.
