Well, if this thread's taught me anything it's that we're not going to learn anything useful about origins of the Earth, Universe or life from Genesis.

No. First, the elements created were unformed. The six days of creation show the forming of the elements into the entire creation, out of the unformed elements that all things are made of.

God will also "unform all elements" of creation in the dissolving of them so as to elementally regenerate them into the "New Beginning", out of the elements created in the only beginning all things have had, as God wrote of them in Genesis 1.
The heavens will be elementally dissolved and regenerated in an instant.
The earth will be elementally dissolved and regenerated in an instant.
The bodies of those alive and remaining when the rapture of the Church comes will be dissolved and regenerated in an instant -in the blink of an eye, in fact!

The bodies of those who live through the millennial Sabbath who are ready to be regenerated to the heavenly form wil be dissolved and regenerated immediately when their each "day" is completed, for there is no more death of the flesh after the first resurrection, for it will be as it was to have been in the beginning, when Adam would have lived his millennial day and been transformed to the gory for "planting the heavens" and entering into his heavenly priesthood; which is what God planned for the human being race in the beginning, and has come in flesh of New Creation to be our Redeemer Kinsman and ransom us back for.

The bodies of those who are never born again in Spirit, into the One Living Spirit/Christ, will never be dissolved and regenerated into the heavenly form, made for the Glory to indwell, which is why they will be resurrected from the dead in the second resurrection in their bodies in which they, soul in body, will be cast alive into the Lakeof Fire, in, to be tormented forever there, by the evil angels of darkness [the satans], as never dying worms, who can never be dissolved and regenerated into the glory form of the sons of God of the human being kind, for that Lake of Fire is the second death for which there is no remedy.

Never dying worms cannot dissolve and regenerate. That death is final, and forever, and none will get out of it, but live in it forever, who are justly cast there.
