That's interesting, considering that we were discussing the alleged worshipping of the Bible by some Protestants. One would think that if they actually did worship it, they wouldn't be thought slipshod when it comes to respecting it!When I attended a Catholic service, I observed the Bible being held in great reverence and being kissed as mark of worship. This is something different from Protestant's treatment of the book.

And, on the other side of that coin, what is more important--to hold it up, kiss the pages, and then consider the contents inadequate to guide mankind...or to really trust it and agree with what it says of itself, i.e. that it is of highest worth, like gold. ????? I'd say it's the latter.
