If I'm going to try to survive the apocalypse, it's going to be for the sake of preserving civilization as best as I can. So my fallout shelter's going to be loaded up with literature, history books, poetry, mathematics, and anything else I can fit in there. Just because we char-broiled the planet (God forbid—shudder) doesn't mean we have to descend into Mad Max's anarchy. I refuse to let it be so.

Yes, yes, yes. I cannot 'like' this enough. Even if I don't make it, I would be a willing casualty for the greater good.
