Can you be a bit more specific?
This doesn't answer the question at all.
You said/implied that there is plenty of material to teach.
I'm just asking for a couple of examples.
Saying "one includes creationism and the other doesn't" isn't helpfull at all.
In fact, it only fuels the idea that there really is nothing to teach.
Then what will be taught to school kids?
And which post doctors?
Which field?
I'ld love to read your dessertation.
We can teach: The origin of the ocean water is: UNKNOWN.
Instead of making up all kind of garbage hypotheses but ban the Noah's Flood.
At the college level, we can teach: Most of the ocean water might came from the inside of the earth. It is very very Biblical.
You are not educated by science with creationism. That is why you know nothing about it. Do not let your children learn the same way.
Small kids should be taught: In addition to all conventional science knowledges, there is a more important model: God's creation. God creates Adam and Eve.
What are you afraid of? It is just another model anyway. We teach the kids all of them and let the kids to decide.
Book of Job
38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
38:38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
These two verses highlight and go beyond my dissertation.
That is what I was taught. We didn't require a bible to be intellectually honest.
We were also thought a few plausible theories. You know, the kind that's backed by evidence and which don't require to presence of unevidenced entities.
What's the problem with that?
And how those creationism factor into this?
Noah's flood??
Weren't we talking about creationism? The act of creating things?
You seem to be confirming that what you mean by "creationism", is actually nothing more or less then "fundamentalist christianity", isn't that right?
Are you saying that you want fundamentalist christianity being taught in science classes?
Biblical?
So you, yes... you want to infiltrate science classes with a fundamentalist interpretation of your religion of choice.
And you wonder why people are heavily against that idea?
Really?
I know everything about it that I need to know. You have shown your true colors this post.
What you really argue for, is an indoctrination in a fundamentalist interpretation of your religion of choice. And the way you want to do that, is by removing every aspect of science from the school curriculum that doesn't agree with your fundamentalist religious views, and replace them with those religious beliefs.
That is what you want.
Yeah, that doesn't really interest me.
I'ld love to read your actual dissertation.
When talk about creation science, I take the Biblical messages as scientific ideas and examine them exactly as other science information.
Just curious. Would you vote for a presidential candidate who said they did not believe in evolution?
Politicians will say whatever is necessary to get elected.
To answer the question, as I think creationism (especially YEC) is overall detrimental to Christianity, probably not. But of course there are many other considerations when electing a president.

I know it say so but we all know how some web sites tell lies.
The two stories don’t seem to have much to do with each other at first look: a rise in diseases such as measles and whooping cough in places with cheap, available vaccines, and charter schools using public money to teach creationism.
They are, though, different manifestations of the same thing: people’s misplaced and misinformed insistence that their personal beliefs exempt them from the scientific evidence to the contrary, even if that means consequences for people who don’t share their beliefs.
Across Texas, Arkansas and Indiana, Slate reports, about 17,000 students in publicly funded Responsive Education Solutions charter schools are given textbooks that put creationism in the classroom on the sly.
The Supreme Court ruled creationism unconstitutional, and a federal court judge equated so-called intelligent design with creationism and declared it unconstitutional. (Responsive Education Solutions gets about $82 million a year in government money to run its schools, so it’s also curious to read that its history textbook accuses feminism of forcing women to turn to the government as a “surrogate husband.”)
The schools are free to teach Creationism. It can not be a part of the requirements for a degree, so they can not test the students on it. They do not have time to play around with extra stuff now a days. There is a lot of competition for what little scholarship money is available. I heard about a girl that graduated from High School with enough college credit to qualify to take master degree classes at the university. So it is possible to graduate High School with a College degree. Even with a 4.0 or higher grade point average. The reason for taking college classes in High School is the government pays for your classes. Also you got to do it sooner or later anyways so you may as well get it over with.http://www.slate.com/articles/healt...ed_where_tax_money_supports_alternatives.html

Electives are just that, electives. Your free to take Bible classes if you want as long as its from an accredited school. Some of the college students in a church I attended used up their electives taking Bible classes.
There will not be any sickness or diseases of body, for the body will be raised glorious, powerful, incorruptible, and spiritual.Which Bible verse do you use when you are deciding between a narrow or broad range antibiotic?
There will not be any sickness or diseases of body, for the body will be raised glorious, powerful, incorruptible, and spiritual.
Rev 21:4 niv "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Rom 8:21 niv "creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God."
