CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I can drive a manual, I did driving lessons for 2 years in one, I failed my first test... I really need to drive so couldn't afford to fail the second time so sat my automatic...

I failed my first and second attempt at a drivers licences, when I was 17, all because I couldn't parallel park. To this day, parallel parking gives me nightmares.

haha I failed as well. I never went through driver's training though. My dad made me wait until I was 18 to take my test and attempted to train me himself. Which is fine, but I wasn't as prepared lol. I didn't have formal training until I went to trucking school and had to parallel park a semi!

Thank you. Flooding isnt as bad for us as it is for most of the states. Yes, it isn't fun.... but while we get a lot of rain, it is because of that, that we have better drainage than MOST everywhere else.
Flooding is a part of living here like anything in nature. Its when it gets to Tropical Storm Allison that its an actual problem.

Haha. I passed my driver's test the first time. But in all honesty, it was way too easy. I went at the best time...like 6 pm. So the lady who did my test was pretty much at her wit's end and just 'done'. I don't think she even cared how well or bad I did.
