Nah, Adam Sandler isn't bad. Over rated, sure. However, in a world where Seinfeld is considered a "Comedy Genius" I can stand to see someone funnier than Jerry making a comfortable living off the same genre, even if I don't find Adam Sandler to be the best comedian.

Quentin Tarantino and Mike Moore are the only two people in Hollywood that I get aggressively annoyed at their success.

IF the movies my friends and I do lead to fame. I will HAVE to call out QT and MM.

Bah, with how long my car has been down Im sadly not taking her far or fast til I know I can trust the tires when I get her running. After work tomorrow I plan on messing with ground wires to see if that fixes the issues I have been having. It would be SOOOO awesome to get the ole girl back up and running. Jerry's stand up, much like his show (IMO) just isn't funny at all. Kramer is the only thing that made me laugh in his show, but you can only see an high energy guy bust through a door and fall down before it loses its appeal. Jerry himself is just nasally and whiny.

QT- He makes up for lack of talent with over exaggeration. I understand he loves the old Japanese cartoons. However, you don't need blood splatter to be so fake and ridiculous to nod towards such things.He is lazy, he makes movies where people can jump 40 feet in the air, walk on air etc. yet he never explains why they can do this. Yes, its a movie and movies are about suspending belief. However, it is up to the film maker to give the viewer reason to suspend belief.

Even simply saying its a different world covers it, yet he doesnt even do that.

He is a highly over rated amateur film maker at best and yet, people claim him to be a genius because they read more into his over exaggerations that just isnt there.

The matrix, YES they do exaggerated moves, but the reason they can do such things are explained. Not a single such thing is done in ANY QT film.

You can still nod to the things you like, such as the scene in Predators (Which was the only scene in that movie that was ANY good) in which the predator and yakuza member meet in a field to do battle blade to blade, killer to killer.

Aside from that scene being a tad too dark (lighting wise) it was done well.

Its not about "not getting it" I used to watch the show back in the day when I found Kramer humorous and even many more after that when it was on TV and it won the "This or that" contest. The show just isn't funny to me and I have many different levels to my sense of humor.

I dont dislike QT so much because I feel he is lacking in talent. If thats where it ended, Id say good for him, just as I do with Jerry Seinfeld. They are successful and not all that good at what they do.

My main reason for truly disliking the man is every thing I have seen of this man, from interviews to fan video. The man comes off as highly arrogant and aggressive to anyone that isn't kissing up to him or calling him a movie "genius". I don't have a problem with excessive gore. However, he does it not for the movie itself, but he has it done badly (And not because lack of budget)

His lack of talent (imo) are why I dislike his movies.

He seeming to be so arrogant is why I dislike the man.

Put those together and I want to call him on it. I just dont have a venue he would care about unless I were socially at the same level as he in his eyes.

I would disagree, a lot of it has to do with a well written script. And good directing. Part of being a director is finding good actors, which for the most part he does a good marvelous at. There are so many directors who have given otherwise decent actors poor performances.

There are good scripts that do not exactly flow naturally. I'm talking about realistic human interaction. He knows how to jab subtle emotional and verbal cues to his writing.

That's what I mainly enjoy about his films, are the characters and how they interact with one another. Everything else (and even the story) is secondary to me. His films can also be quite funny.

As far as his excessive gore, I think he's just giving a nod to frivolous and fun 1970s fetish euro trash flicks. They're something new, and something you don't always see in mainstream movies. I wouldn't call them the highlight of his talents, but it's nice to see someone try to shake things up a little bit. Some of them are annoying, but I think they are meant to be.
