I have read it, I have studied it and read it some more. It saddens and frustrates me, I wish we could rescue Jesus and his original gospel from the Bible books and leave the rest in a museum.

Must be pretty terrible if you think "college" means a place of education in that passage.

You need to realise that the Bible records "warts and all" and that whatever attitude men had to women, it was not necessarily God's attitude. Jesus (God in the flesh) clearly regarded women as being just as worthy as men. Also, don't you think it strange that if the gospels were merely made up stories by men at the time, that women would have been mentioned as being the first to discover the missing body of Jesus in the empty tomb? Don't you also think it would be odd for women to be the first that Jesus spoke to after the resurrection?

Actually when His mother asked Him about the wine Jesus response was "what do I have to do with thee". Sounds kinda disrespectful to me but there must be some sort of meaning in there. That was when He turned the water into wine. That I understand because we know water baptism is not enough to cleanse us. It takes the Blood of Jesus to give us eternal life.

False. This is another deception told by creationist websites. In reality, no circumstances can be exactly replicated, and all science is based on making a testable hypothesis and then using experiment to test it. That includes biology and all the other fields that show the evolution is a fact. Pretending that science can't establish past events simply means that all murder convictions have to be tossed out, and our entire criminal justice system ceases to exist.

Um, abiogenesis is not evolution, nor is it common descent. How 'bout this: We agree that God may have poofed the first life into existence, and that evolution from there led to all life on earth today? After all, that's consistent with the evidence.

I personally prefer to put my faith in the account given in Genesis. I can't prove that it's true of course, but the Bible overall makes more sense to me if I just accept the straightforward reading of Genesis as historical fact as conveyed to us by God Almighty, who is the only one who was there and the only one who really knows for sure. You obviously take a different view and if you are comfortable with that then that's fine. We don't need to argue about it do we?

You prefer to put you faith in the human interpretation that Genesis is to be read literally. I agree, we really don't need to argue about it. So then why did you come on here and start all these discussions? Why do you continually and repeatedly assert that creationism is right and evolution is impossible? I contend that this is not a salvation issue, and that both creationist and evolution supporting Christians are among those saved. If we agree that it's not a salvation issue, then perhaps there is no need to argue - though you posts seem to indicate that you do indeed want to discuss this.

Just like science tells us there has been many extinctions and population explosions (radiation). Jesus said you must be renewed, made new, born again.

Some how some way the past is connected with our future. We believe civilization began in ancient mesopotamia and this is where the destruction of that civilization will beginning.

The original gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, salvation by faith, is what Jesus preached and practiced. The original gospel is what Jesus tried to impart to the Jews, had they accepted it they would be teaching that gospel from Jerusalem and carrying it to the 4 corners of the earth. But instead the light was given on to others who modified it and made it more to their way of understanding.

The inconsistent presentation of the God of the Bible comes across as the God of the people who redacted the OT books in Babylon heavily favoring their own place with God, elevating themselves above their own Semitic cousins of the region.

Jesus rewrote the truth about the true character of his Father demonstrated in the living of his life.
