From what you say, anyhow, it sounds like you intend something like this, maybe:Haha yes, no desire for anything else but my Lord's name.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Oh okay; interesting design; and so you prefer inner bicep to wrist, then?Actually I was going to get this tattooed on my left inner bicep.

Haha yes, that is not my style quite honestlyOh okay; interesting design; and so you prefer inner bicep to wrist, then?
I was going to say as well, you seem a lot more committed to getting tattooed than to getting something faith based like this, anyway:

You must know your style, anyway. Significant anyhow that neither your mom or dad would have a problem with your plan for a Hebrew letter tattoo if you were to do it now (even though you might want to wait until you're 18, do you think?)Haha yes, that is not my style quite honestly![]()
My parents raised me to be independent. I'm practically a young adult, and they trust my reasoning. Of course not without the "Are you sure? Think about it!".You must know your style, anyway. Blessings.
Sounds like they would be more than happy to sign for you, then.My parents raised me to be independent. I'm practically a young adult, and they trust my reasoning. Of course not without the "Are you sure? Think about it!".
No, as I have said my dad was going to look for one, but kinda forgot. I've dropped it.Sounds like they would be more than happy to sign for you, then.
Did you happen to check out a parlor? either on your own rather than with mom or dad.
I guess in your Christian experience and plans it's not an urgent priority, but more of a long term wish or aspiration, assuming you would be maybe still motivated in the future. Don't be surprised if fellow students, cousins, etc when they turn 18 go do it; and peer pressure is no reason to do it; but nothing strange if lots of young people you know go do it.No, as I have said my dad was going to look for one, but kinda forgot. I agree, although for some Christians some tasteful ink in a faith based design is sometimes obtained with a view to honor God.I also believe we should take care of our bodies in order to glorify God, which is a bit difficult with messy ink on it!
Well there is no shame in the Lord's name, is there? I would not just tattoo anything on my body. One thing you need to realize...tattoos are very very permanent.
Long ago, when I was young and in love, I and my lover were involved in a "garage band", known locally as "The Stone Balloon".
I let my lover tattoo a G-cleff and a quarter note on my upper right arm, and an ankle bracelet of musical notes and little hearts on a vine around my ankle.
Now I am a 65 year old great grandmother...and his artwork is still there, for the world to see...
Ms. The Barrd: Hi, good to see you! Did you actually mean that you regret having become a tattooed woman years ago? because these days - unlike when you did it - even more women in North America do it than men (59% - 70% of parlor clients are women). So I guess I'm just wondering just how strongly you regret it, if at all?One thing you need to realize...tattoos are very very permanent.

Sounds like for you it would be more of an act of confidence.Well there is no shame in the Lord's name, is there? I would not just tattoo anything on my body.
Your experience or outlook might prove to be a whole lot different from Ms Barrd's, right? In her day, fewer women did it (though this has changed big time); while for you, so many young ppl do it, male and female, including Christians. So I guess the ball park is kind of different now. (Two cents'.)Pretty much.
PS: Remember that for many Christians who belong to Christian rock bands today tattoos, earrings etc are almost part of the uniform for musicians, along with blue jeans and leather jackets. One thing you need to realize...tattoos are very very permanent.
