Just don't tell me it's easy to understand and expect me to believe you.

It sounds like some people want their cake and eat it too.

So they claim they understand it, so as to add validity to their denial.

Well, I don't believe I've missed anything important about the nuances of your view.

It's true I have not mastered the trick of describing your weird ideas back at you in such a way as to get you to say I have understood them rightly. I don't happen to think that is a trick worth mastering. In particular, I consider that to find a history imbedded in an object of a million years is evidence the object has been around a million years. A very simple deduction, with an obvious reason for making it.

You post was not against the rules, there would be no reporting it. But common sense should tell you that what your post was an invitation for the reply that it got. If you want to make a case here you should try to do so with science. Trying to use the Bible as a weapon against others will only earn disrespect for the Bible itself. Technically what you did was not "blasphemy" but since you are courting a blasphemous reaction you should not be offended when you get one.

To recap, your post was not against the rules, but it was extremely hypocritical.

-_- the best part about this challenge is that at worst, the conclusion we have to make is that even the oldest thing dated could err on the younger side. That is, obviously counting the time that the material that formed a rock was lava makes for an older age than just counting how long it was solid. None of this helps people who want to think that the earth is younger than dated, because all this proves is that it is even older.

Most often, it is an expression prefacing me explaining that a person's argument either doesn't make any sense, or in this case, when a person's argument actually goes against their position. Which I noticed is the part of my post you decided to ignore. I call it my "poker face" or "blank face". Neutral actually wouldn't make sense in how I use it, which is what that emoticon you posted represents.
