Yup, I just find it annoying because it is asked so frequently, and only people who have never put any time into learning about evolution from anything besides a creationist site ever ask it. It is the first sign of a boring, frustrating debate that is unlikely to go anywhere. I dread questions like that, not because the challenge my knowledge or even my position, but because the ensuing discussion is bound to only challenge my patience, and little else.

You would welcome that question about as much as you would welcome "if Jesus was god in human form, doesn't that mean that he had original sin"? And if people asked over, and over, and over...

I am not into those kinds of movies, but I know it doesn't take place in modern times.

I don't ridicule people for asking those questions beyond the confines of my mind, unless they persist with them long after I have answered. And even then, I try to stay civil as long as I can. I don't tell people how annoying I find their questions unless they do a button mash on my patience.

But other people do not have as much patience as I do, or as much of a desire to be friendly, so you'll see others snap at people for asking those questions.

Because the question has been asked and answered so many times in so many other places -- and the answer is blisteringly simple to begin with -- that anyone who uses it in a non-ironic way is so excruciatingly ignorant of the entire creation/evolution discussion so as to merit ridicule.

He uses different names and accounts, but his brand of rudeness is so distinctive that we can always tell it is him, and then he gets banned within a week of his return. He is aggressively rude to theists and any atheist that bothers to challenge his behavior. Consol, I would guess, would be his original username, but I wasn't a member when he started, so I am not sure.

I encountered him once, and being that I don't view all religion as the root of all evil and stupidity in the world, we did not get along.

Some people have no lives, it wouldn't shock me if he makes his angry presence known on a multitude of sites relating to discussion about religion.

i would suggest molecular and integrated biology.

As I pointed out, a teacher is supposed to put up with the same questions from a group of new students each year.

Telling them, "I answered that already the last five years in a row," doesn't cut it.

-_- sometimes I encounter the same questions on a weekly basis. In any case, not everyone has the patience of a teacher, and I know instances where even the most patient people will be driven over the edge.

He has a lot of anger to vent, and I suspect he's had a bad encounter with Christianity.

I've seen it happen in real life.

A & B living together.

B gets saved and is convicted that shacking-up is a sin; won't go to the places that they used to go to because it serves alcohol; begs A to go to church with her; wants to give 10% of their income to God; etc.

I've seen guys quite hostile to us (my wife & I) personally for "what our church did to their mates."

I don't know if that applies to consol, but it's usually the first thing I think of when I encounter someone unusually hostile to Christians.

Especially in a sarcastic way.
