  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ([bless and do not curse]Romans‬ [bless and do not curse]6‬:[bless and do not curse]23‬ KJV)

Amen !!
This is addressing the first lie
The serpent told eve we will not die
GOD clearly disagrees!

Question who is the lier?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

([bless and do not curse]Genesis‬ [bless and do not curse]3‬:[bless and do not curse]2-4‬ KJV)

You have a lot of blipped out stuff in there but God said do not eat.....He never said do not touch, Satan had already started to twisting with his lies..........Unfortunately we will never know until we go to heaven what Eden was like......Well maybe God will come in the next ten minutes I don't know, I wished the fire was already kindled......But we live this life for Jesus, the only one that God said You are my Son, in You I am well pleased. Such a beautiful heart..........Sometimes I wonder what is what like with Him on Earth, would He have chosen me, Would He have said Salvation has come under your home if I was a Jew.

What does this have to do with hyper grace? And what is "hyper grace"? God's grace is so great that it can never be "hyper". And what's "the big lie"? Ever since Adam, all men die, and the whole world knows that there is nothing more certain than death and taxes.

The beauty of the Gospel is that eternal life is indeed A FREE GIFT. You do not earn it and you can never do anything to merit eternal life. If you think that is "hyper grace" you need to get a better understanding of God's grace.

I believe that you are of the opinion that GRACE + WORKS = SALVATION. Now that is THE BIG LIE which Satan wants people to believe.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Genesis 2:17, only mentions "eating" of it, but Eve's response to the serpent in Genesis 3:3 she says they were commanded not to eat of it, nor touch it, lest they die...

I'm still having difficulty understanding what this has to do with "hyper grace" could you elaborate? "Hyper Grace" has to do with having your sins covered and paid for, and not counted against you due to Jesus work on/at the cross, and not with "not sinning"?

Without sin there can be no grace...?

God Bless!

It's a simply realization that we can sins and still have eternal life is similar to satins original sin
The hyper grace seem to have the same thyology.

God said you will die if you sin and its every ware still In the bible from OT to NT
But some how we can sin and still live it doesn't seem correct .

Well it's sorta like this friend,

When we believe in Jesus and put our Faith (also a gift from Him) in Him, we are saved.

As Believers we should not ever want to sin, but because we are still in the flesh we may falter from time to time. But if we confess to God (acknowledge the sin, confess it's wrong, and let Him know your sorry) He won't hold it against you.

Paul talks a little bit about it here in Romans:

"15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.18For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.19For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it."
-Romans 7:15-20

Those who claim to be "Christians" yet continue willfully in sin and/or think that Being saved is a free pass for sinning are called "Carnal Christians" and it is revealed in the Bible that they were never really saved to begin with.

Hope I answered a few of you questions!

God be with you!

P.S. The others are right, your subject title compared to the message you bring in the OP is a little confusing, lol.

Jesus teachings say we can't sin
God said in the OT we can't sin
But the devil said we can sin
You be the judge lol

James says the one who says he (or she) is without sin then he (or she) is deceiving ourselves and making God a liar:

Perhaps you should explore the thread "The Lord opened my eyes" that I re-posted for you...

Here is a link to one of my posts in it, although I suggest you review the entire thread:

Thanks for your honesty.

" I don't practice sin" does that mean you don't ever do the same sin ever again once you "repent"?

No not now it any more but who knows? I have gone back at times in my life and when I do I have a fear of God / or a better way to put it A fear of what that sin will do to me once I step away. Because with out the spirit your in the flesh and vs I only have this fear because the word tells me the consequences to sin are death and I've tried to have both it never worked I loved one and hated the other. It made me bitter to My Father! There is a natural sin that's in us when we're young in the faith I still have that. It's impulsive or reaction to something. Mine is pride and anger and i have control of it when I'm in the spirit and praying in the word but it's a battle jesus gives me the strength to win thank God.

Hi lori,

I note that you don't like to answer difficult questions that challenges the doctrine that you are being led by. I pray that eventually you will rightly divide scripture and look to Christ our teacher (Matt 23:8, 1John 3:27), instead of whoever you are now following.

The question is simple who is the lier

1John 2:22
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

And who denies that Jesus is the Christ?
It's those in unbelief. That is those who seek to establish their own righteousness by works of the law instead of submitting to God's righteousness, Rom 10:3.

And who seeks to establish their own righteousness?
Rom 10:3
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness (by works of the law), have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

Gal 5:4
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

I often find that those pastors who preach against so called "hypergrace", appear to be preaching a lukewarm mix of works of the law, with grace.

God says we cannot mix works with grace.
Rom 11:6
And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

My sins are covered ! he died for them to be cleansed! And every time I sin I confess and repent! I don't practice sin and if I am out of the spirit I'm in the flesh so I read pray stay in the spirit as much as I thirst for water!!
But it doesn't mean I can sin freely I still have to as jesus says repent!
And when I do they are AGAIN washed

It seems that you don't realize that what Christians repented of was "DEAD WORKS" of self-righteousness. And this repentance is a ONCE ONLY repentance, as the scripture below confirms.

Heb 6:1-6
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from DEAD WORKS and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

So you are correct in saying that your sins are covered under grace. Providing that you remain under grace, believing on Jesus. For those under grace, our faith is counted for righteousness, as Rom 4:5 says.

Christians repented of DEAD WORKS of self-righteousness which we did in rebellion and unbelief in God. But when we receive Jesus we repented of these DEAD WORKS of self-righteousness/filthy rags (which was sin that Satan the accuser could accuse us with, Rev 17).

And as we see in Heb 6:4-6 above, this repentance we did was a ONCE ONLY repentance. If someone truly had the truth ( as described in Heb 6:4-6) but then falls away from Christ (unbelief) turning back to works of the law, they make themselves a sinner again (Gal 2:18).

So the doctrine you have heard of continual repentance, that is not supported in scripture.

BTW, you say you don't "practice" sin. And I asked you before to give scripture detailing what is "practice""or "habitual" sin. As I expected, you could not provide any scripture to support your claim, because there is no scripture to support it.

But as you mentioned "practice", "habitual" sin, can you tell us how often does God forgive Christians of sin?

And remember that Jesus told us to forgive 7x70. Is this God's limit on forgiveness? Or are you saying that God is less forgiving than He calls for us to be?
