By the way, saying your a sinner and demanding God be gracious doesn't work when you choose to be a sinner. Just a heads up.
This thread, which started off so well. Thanks OrthodoxyUSA for that., has turned sour cause of one more conspiracy theorist.
So, you got a problem with Rome do ya?
I don't know if you were on my ignore list before... but you are now.
Good bye.
God be gracious to me a sinner.
I agree, the Church never became catholic.
Oh, I'm sure you disagree, you want christian forums to bow down to catholics. Well I don't. This is a Christian forum and I am entitled as much as anyone else to speak the truth that Christians are Christians, not forced to be catholics.
Nope. You're welcome to spell you're as your. I can infer otherwise. That way we're both OK.
Spell check is free though, so why don't you bring it into your posting life?

Act 9:31
¶

This is the first mention in the Book of Acts of churches in the plural, showing that the Church is not invisible, but consists of visable local communities united in faith, doctrine, worship and authority.
I will ask for no responses to pyramid33's posts while I ask for a thread cleanup.
We can continue without that poster's rhetoric.
God be gracious to me a sinner.

pyramid33,
Please leave my thread.
God be gracious to me a sinner.
The interesting part is how the term shifted over the years by us as the Church with the Schisms and the the Reformation from a term that mean throughout all, or to use the more traditional phrase, universal to meaning either Rome and it's church or a practise of sacramental Christian worship.
