• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Obviously not enough. Your theology has errors not the bible. First example of that is the fact you think I can tell you anything to make you a believer; yet at the same time you believe your disbelief is due to your wisdom.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Citing scripture to prove scripture, is really lame.

The forces are not physical forces. Evolution is driven by variation and natural selection. You have been told this before by several posters. Do you need a link? I can supply one.

The second you use the word "driven" and claim there are no physical forces, one must ask exactly where you get your information.

So you believe "Mother Nature" did it all for you.

A small amount of water is constantly cycled into the mantle through subduction zones, why are you asking about water in magma? The scriptures are not respected at all when it comes to science. And all religions have people willing to die for them. Martyrdom only proves that some people are crazy.

Who said anything about dying for a man made religion. We were talking about words on paper by infallible men.

Small amount? I find science when given any new information, react quickly to make their assumptions for evolution (nonbiological) of the earth fit.

"Even more surprisingly, this deep rock was found to be saturated in water which filled the cracks. Because free water should not be found at those depths, scientists theorize that the water is comprised of hydrogen and oxygen atoms which were squeezed out of the surrounding rocks due to the incredible pressure. The water was then prevented from rising to the surface because of the layer of impermeable rocks above it."

"Another unexpected find was a menagerie of microscopic fossils as deep as 6.7 kilometers below the surface. Twenty-four distinct species of plankton microfossils were found, and they were discovered to have carbon and nitrogen coverings rather than the typical limestone or silica. Despite the harsh environment of heat and pressure, the microscopic remains were remarkably intact."

So was the entire earth covered in water or molten lava? During the biblical flood it says that God opened the waters of the deep. How is it that man has found fossils so far deep in the earth?

Pathetic, you are reinterpreting the Bible after the fact. Why did you forget the obvious fallacies the Bible proclaims, a flat Earth for example. Doves blood cures leprosy. Sheep mating in front of striped sticks have colored offspring. This is not honest and don't try it with a Muslim. They are even better at doing this than Christians are.

In case you want to study the scientific truth about Jacobs sheep.

Why don't you copy/pasta a few sentences and sum it up? I'm not going to click another silly creationist link.

Why don't you tell me the "Force" behind the BIG BANG Theory. Since Physics can't agree. And all I got so far is "Reproduction and Adaptation"; I am thinking Copy and Paste might be easier.

Define "Science"; and tell me again how you came to your conclusion of circular reasoning.

Using what is written in a story to support what the story tells is circular reasoning.

It would not be circular, if we had independent objective evidence to support and verify what the story states as true, but that evidence does not exist.

Anyone can write stories and make claims, that part is easy. Other holy books and those that believe in them do the same. They state what is written is true, because the book says it is true.

And if we use your argument for "Scientific Journals"; that puts us back to what is the Force that you believe started the Universe?

Natural? Planets with life on them are made everyday? That's your idea of natural.
What on earth does this mean? It doesn't even make nonsense.

Could you clarify a bit?

Clearly, you have no idea how science works.
I wonder how many of you guys had faith at one time, but couldn't defend it in light of science; so now you're here, trying to make it look like we can't defend our faith either?

AV, that's not hard to do, as your faith is indefensible.

Are you here to make reasonable people of faith look silly?
