  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What have you understood about the charcater of The Ten Commandments?? (2)

The 10 commandments are listed in the NT for us to follow while the two greatest commandments are in the OT. Matt 22:26 " Master, which is the great commandment in the law?"

The 10 are summarized in the two greatest.

Yeshua's sacrifice made it so we're not under the penalty of the law.

Matthew 22:26 was not about the ten commandments.... The entire Law was filled with commandments. The Ten commandments were only a small part of the Law.

Look...

Matthew 22:36-40

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Those were to be found in the Ten Commandments? No.

Jesus was referring to the Law, not just the Ten Commandments which are only contained in the Law.

Deuteronomy 6:5

5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

That's not the Ten Commandments. That is what Jesus spoke of. Deuteronomy is a part of the Law.

No we're not subject to the law because God took it out of the way for the righteous. Read at least Romans to Hebrews.
