There are many prophecies that have not been fulfilled.
If you're correct, John was a false prophet. Again, he posited the events of Revelation as near, shortly and soon.
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants
things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it;
for the time is near." (Revelation 1:1-3 NKJV)
"Then he said to me, These words are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants
the things which must shortly take place."
"And he said to me, Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for
the time is at hand." (Revelation 22:6, 10 NKJV)
Not only was John a false prophet, if you're correct, Jesus and all the apostles were also.
Jesus said, in response to the disciples question about when the age in which they were living would end:
"Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the
end of the age?
"Assuredly, I say to you,
this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." (Matthew 24:3, 34 NKJV)
Paul wrote: "Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition,
upon whom the ends of the ages have come." (I Corinthians 10:11 NKJV)
Peter wrote: "But
the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers." (I Peter 4:7 NKJV)
James wrote: "Therefore
be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.
You also be patient. Establish your hearts,
for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned.
Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!" (James 5:7-9 NKJV)
John also wrote: "Little children,
it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which
we know that it is the last hour." (I John 2:18 NKJV)
I believe
it's about time. It's about the time frame clearly laid out by The Lord and all the inspired NT writers!
