  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is your major (most significant/largest) problem with non-Christians?

Non-Christians in general? Nothing at all.

The one's I have a problem with are specifically those who push degenerate social values on us.

What is your major (most significant/largest) problem with non-Christians?

The fact that the great majority of them don't want to be considerate when they know Christians are in their presence , yet feel like its open-season to mock, defame, and gripe about Christianity and Christians outwardly.

Its gotton so outrageous and habitual with this one particular professed 'Atheist' 70 year old Lady who frequents the same Starbucks in our little town when it comes to slandering God and Jesus out loud , that I have started to immediately respond by saying :' Well scr_ _ the Atheist....its supposed to rain this Thursday ! ' . This of course brings some laughter from other people in the Group but it brings shock, a mean look, and conviction to the 70 year old Lady who doesn't want to be respectful for even 30 min . when in the company of Christians. Lately, her slander has subsided greatly (so has her interaction with me....lol...) .

They're probably laughing out of embarrassment. Sheesh.

I really think it's sad when Christians think they have to be respected but do not demonstrate respect to others.

Christ said that He knows His sheep and they hear His voice and follow Him.
There are many who are not His sheep and therefore hear Him not.
One cannot force a goat to become a sheep.
That which is spirit is spirit, that which is flesh is flesh. In the fullness of time, God will lose nothing and everything will be as it was intended.

Hyper-inconsiderate People sometimes require an extraordinary rebuke . It worked because the Slanderer knows she wont get away with dragging God/Jesus thru the mud in a public family setting without someone calling her on it. Such habitual Slanderers need to discover their willful rude inconsiderate behavior with a bit of assistance oftentimes.

Good post.

Pro 16:28
A perverse man spreads strife,
And a slanderer separates intimate friends.

Jer 9:4
“Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan.
For every one of them is a deceiver and every friend a slanderer.

Jas 4:11
Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another.
Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister, or judges them, speaks against the law and judges it......

Satan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Second Temple period

In the Septuagint the Hebrew ha-Satan in Job and Zechariah is translated by the Greek word diabolos (slanderer), the same word in the Greek New Testament from which the English word devil is derived.............
