  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Creation.com is not AIG
There really isn't that much of a difference between the two. Creation.com articles tend to be a little longer, that's all.
Well, after doing some digging i discover that creation.com was formally Answer In Genesis.

Have you ever read any other religious texts? The Koran, the Vedas, anything?
I read the sequel to Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life (Mein Kampf).

Didn't care for it though.

Oh good grief AV, how Godwin can you get?

I have seen you do much, much better and more cleverly than this.

Desperation does not inspire quality work in AV.

I'm sorry, Dizredux, but I think just as much about Charles Darwin as I do Adolf Hitler.

That is, not at all.

Think about it, no matter how much you dislike his ideas Darwin was apparently a kind gentle man who did little personal harm, loved his family and worried about how his theory would affect others.

To compare him to Hitler is, at least to my mind, very much over the top especially for a Christian. I really think your comparison reflects much more about you than Darwin.

It was a LONG time ago, and I had to do a book report in school.

I only read the first 9 chapters, then quit.

Looking back, I see that my selection of that book wouldn't have been too popular; but at the time, I had no idea what it was.

And at the time, I didn't know Hitler from Darwin.

They both seemed to be saying the same thing.

Eugenics is basically the worst misuse of evolutionary theory ever. It is the incorrect conclusion that evolution of the fittest meant that there had to be a superior human race and culture, and that for the "fittest" to succeed, the weakest must die, which isn't true. Evolution doesn't need the "weak" to perish at all, and "fit" is just a measure of reproductive success, nothing more.

Eugenics is what Hitler partly used to justify his actions.

I don't think Hitler was familiar with diminutive inbreeding -- (or whatever that term is that says selective breeding won't work).

Keeping impurities from entering genes is actually allowing the impurities that are already in the genes to thrive -- (or something like that).
Eugenics is what Hitler partly used to justify his actions.
I believe that was his means to achieve his ends; but let's face it, things get overlooked.

QV Thalidomide.

What's the difference?

Scientists wanted to make life easier for pre-natal women.

They just didn't take everything into consideration.

You do a lot of talking about them, considering you claim not to think about them at all.

But then again, we've seen you do a lot of talking without thinking.

If you think that, you know nothing of substance about either.

According to what? Where does the idea that the Bible was written direct from God come from?

Again, according to what? Where do you get the idea that God is the main eyewitness?

It is right there in the many books of the bible, stated over and over and over.
