Anjelica, God does that to bad people too. And His timing is perfect. BUT if He doesn't do anything at all, it's cause there's something greater He's working on.

I'm not saying it is down to a matter of good and bad people. And I don't believe that God DOES anything bad to people. I am questioning so much whether He even exists or not. I guess that is not allowed on a Christian forum though.

Ya know, there are a lot of things that we can't see ya know? But we know it's there. Air for example. Not wind, you can feel that. Air you cant see or feel or detect really. But we know it's there.

Also, what if I were to tell you that I'm wearing a black shirt right now? You don't know that, you can't see that, but you still believe it's there. You trust that the source of which you got that information (me). Well the Bible says God is real. Same deal there.

Anjelica, trust that God is Who He is and that He IS Able. It's between you and Him. He welcomes questions, dear heart....He invites us to come and reason with Him. You don't have to "measure up" here.....i've wrestled with God furiously in sheer desperation....so did Jacob....so did many Men of God and others. He is BIGGER than our doubts....

know what He did after Jacob wrestled with Him? He re-named him Israel.

You sho' nuff don't gotta measure up to me, precious, nor anyone here, i'm sure....

You experienced God a while ago. He's THAT same God. TALK to Him. Share your struggles with Him. In the meantime, i'm praying...and yeah, i likes balloons...sendin' some to you just cuz...n' hugggs

Okay, so my thoughts on God and suffering...

I believe that God doesn't cause or create suffering; people's choices and sin create suffering. God can and does intervene, and I have seen evidence of this. I honestly don't believe I would be alive today if it wasn't for God. Sometimes God allows us to make mistakes, causing suffering, so that we learn and grow. This is just like a parent.

This isn't easy. I still struggle with some of it but I hold on to the fact that God loves me.

Since I have had cancer I have yelled a lot while on the toilet as the chemo make you unable to go LOL

Sorry your having such a tough day. It's ok to have doubts, you know sweetie - I don't think anyone, however strong their faith, can say that they have never doubted! God understands, sweetie, and he loves you

Ha ha OK brinny yes I yelled at Him cos I was in pain and not able to "go" And so weak too that I couldn't help myself I yelled at Him in anguish then. Truly. At one stage it was so bad and Bob phoned the hospital and the Specialist cancer nurse was on the line with him and I was on the blessed toilet and she could hear me yelling and she was kind of shouting me on LOL. She stayed with us on the phone and called me a little poppet LOL I am all of 65 years old LOL

Sometimes I yell at God too. I'm sure I sound like a moany little kid sometimes, telling Him that it's not fair!

Personally, I think it is really important to be completely honest with God, regardless of what you are feeling. As Brinny said, there have been many people who have wrestled with God. I wouldn't want a relationship with Him if it couldn't be this way.
