Do ones in jail count? Sorry, the inner troll in me couldn't help it :p
Yes they count because he still has someone running the business until he comes out,
when he's out you just watch him go, he will make twice as much as he did before he went in,
he will be charging more and they will be screaming for him.

I suppose you picture Evangelical Faith healer types when you make these statements?

I think that, because God instructed what was edible, Adam and Eve must have rquired sustenance to survive. This goes against the idea that death didn't exist until the fall. Because of this, it shows the allegorical and mythological nature of Genesis.

You could compare some allegorical ASPECTS from Genesis to the Book of Matthew. Matthew pretty much is the history and outline of the life of Jesus right? But in the book we have parables that Jesus taught to the crowd. Does that make the whole book of Matthew a metaphor or allegory?

No, it's still just hearsay.

There are 2 separate, different accounts of Jesus's historical background in the bible.

How about "I don't know?" Satisfied?
Yes, I am satisfied ... if I ask a person a question they don't know the answer to and they respond with, "I don't know," I am satisfied they at least answered honestly and didn't attempt to substitute their lack of knowing with b.s.

You wouldn't hear a professional creationist saying 'I don't know' would you? B.S. is their game.

Thought there wasn't supposed to be suffering in Eden? Starvation type hunger is one of the worst kinds of continuous suffering a human can feel for long periods of time.

Time it takes a person to starve to death if they eat absolutely nothing: about 3 weeks.

Time it can take if very limited amounts of food are eaten: more than 2 months, depending on what an how much they eat.

May be that is why Adam ate.

One way or another, you get an answer.

So?

Simple minded person can not appreciate the function of a good question.

Some students asked me: What is this mineral?
If I replied: it is a quartz. Then they are very happy. They got an answer.
If I replied: What would a xxx/xxx/xxx (criteria) mineral be? Then they are not happy and complained that I do not teach them well.

Creationists have no problems with things they can't explain, they dismiss them as being irrelevant.
They don't dwell on what is impossible they just believe it all, they have been taught to do that from birth.

We are looking at creationism with older eyes and an older brain so we will never understand it,
what's needed is a child's eyes and a child's brain before we can even come close to understanding it,
as they say, 'creationists have been doing it since they's babies'.
There are atheists that convert to being religious, while it is fair to say most people stay in the same belief set, plenty don't.

Most of the atheists I've heard of that have converted to Christianity tend not to become creationists but maintain an acceptance of modern science.

I suppose you picture Evangelical Faith healer types when you make these statements?
Evangelical Faith healers and professional creationists are all con men (and women) who prey on the gullible.

Including that snake guy that just died.

Anyone else notice that what the forbidden fruit is is never mentioned? Where do people get the apple idea from?

You are correct. The specific fruit is not mentioned.

Other parts of the bible mention an apple, like in the Song of
Solomon. The idea of an apple seems to be based on tradition.

Did Adam and Eve need to eat?
I know we already know this but I think it's worth pointing it out none the less, it might just help someone.

Adam and Eve are fictional characters in an old book some of which was written thousands of years ago.

Dear PS, Not really. The account in Mat 1:16 is the lineage to Joseph. The account in Luk 3:23 is the lineage of Joseph, who was the son IN LAW of Heli, which means that it leads to Mary. IOW, BOTH Joseph and Mary can be traced back to David. God Blesss you.

In Love,
Aman
