Here are some in case anyone is interested:
Bible tells us that the earth is flat like a piece of clay stamped under a seal (Job 38:13-14),
God is talking in that chapter. He is talking of the time when the wicked
will be shaken. Those familiar with prophesy know that a great shaking comes at the end of man's rule on earth. The Tribulation period. It is also in that time that the mountains will be flattened. Making clay a different shape is a good example. In that time also the stars and sun will go dark.
Now read the verses again and see if you can get a grasp of what it may be talking about...
13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be
shaken out of it?
14 It is
changed as clay under the seal; And [all things] stand forth as a garment:
15 And from the wicked their
light is withholden, And the
high arm is broken.
that it has edges as only a flat plane would (Job 38:13-14,.Psa 19:4),
Nonsensical association attempt.
has a length as only a flat plane would (Dan 4:11, Job 11:9, Job 28:24, Job 37:3, Job 38:13, Job 38:44, Jrm 16:19), that it is a circular disk (Isa 40:22), and that its entire surface can be seen from a high tree (Dan 4:10-11) or mountain (Matt 4:8), which is impossible for a sphere, but possible for a flat disk. Taken literally, as the YECs insist we do, any one of these passages shows a flat earth. Taken together, they are even more clear. And many Christians in history have interpreted it as such.
Conflation of blather. (I wonder how old Poe is doing out there?) The tree in a dream represented the domain of king Nebuchadnezzar. He ruled 'all the earth' or so it was considered in that day. When the tree was cut down, that was representative of how the king would be humbled..
20 The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth;
21 whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was food for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the birds of the heavens had their habitation:
22 it is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong; for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.
23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew down the tree, and destroy it; nevertheless leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field, and let it be wet with the dew of heaven: and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;
24 this is the interpretation, O king, and it is the decree of the Most High, which is come upon my lord the king:
25 that thou shalt be driven from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and thou shalt be made to eat grass as oxen, and shalt be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee; till thou know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
This is not a passage about a flat earth, but about a king.
