  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you trust Him and call Him Lord, then you should do as He says.

Read the passages where Jesus says to be perfect. It's talking about loving our enemies as God does.

Yes, I will agree there is the sin issue. That's why we are told to cleanse the heart, cast away our transgressions, turn from our sins, and remove them from our heart. They will not go away on their own. As long as you do nothing about it, they will always be an issue, and only get worse as time goes on.

What was the point of the cross?

Why should we trust what Jesus says when it wasn't him who wrote it down? Why trust Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Peter?

I don't get why you've singled Paul out?

You don't have to trust anyone Skala. Choose who you will trust, but choose wisely.

I don't think it is allowed to call anyone a heretic griff. I wonder what the moderators would think. Let's ask Hammster to see if calling others heretics is okay and proper on this forum.

Feel free to report anything you think is in violation.

Wow, what a hornet's nest has been stirred up. All because no one can refute what was written about Jesus and what He said about His cross.

Its not the scriptures you quoted that is the problem, it's your faulty understanding of them, and your cherry picking the ones you like and disregarding the ones you don't like.
