  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What was it then? Do you know the context? I imagine it would be ignored if I posted the context. Obviously.

I imagine you have no clue where the photos come from. And why in the world would anyone think it was a drug laden concoction?

Btw, blacks drink fruit beverages (I am stereotyping based on lots of experience) in mass quantities every single day, and have for the 45+ years I have been around them. Ditto for fruit flavored candy.

Of the millions upon million upon million upon millions of fruity sweet drinks that black teens buy, what percentage do you think are used to make Purple Drank?

In other words, it is crystal clear to all people who aren't willfully blind that it is a very, very, very low percentage.

So it is literally insane to say it is a forgone conclusion that these products were bought to make a drugged beverage.

I think you are making a wonderful case for why people with your position shouldn't prevail in making and enforcing our laws. Some of us want to live in a civilized society where vigilantes can't get away with murder.

So keep talking.

And your line of thinking would put a woman in prison for killing the man trying to rape her.

No, if we substituted a 12-year-girl girl for Trayvon Martin, even the most dimwitted fool knows Zimmerman's actions are intolerable in a civil society.

Martin was 12 now?

LOL.
So now if it beyond the pale to stalk a 12-year-old girl with a loaded gun, but it magically becomes A-OK when the stalker is stalking a 17-year-old black boy.

Don't worry about the profound inconsistency of that argument.

The argument that Zimmermn was stalking anyone is pure fiction. In fact, it was Martin who stalked Zimmerman

For some maybe. For others, it was the evidence provided at the trial, oddly enough, it was the evidence provided by the state

Was is that odd? It is the florid racism of the prosecution that brought this to the world’s attention in the first place.

The prosecution was on same White Noise team.

The attorney did a poor job on that trial as well as other questionable actions, this is not the future attorney general to say the least. The prosecution sucked defense did their job well and won the case fairly that doesn't mean Zimmerman is a saint it just meant he beat a case.

The reason the prosecution did a poor job is that the evidence favored the defense. the prosecutors even resorted to lying in order to convict an innocent man.

The judge determined that Zimmerman and his wife Shellie misled the court about their finances his first bail hearing.

Shellie Zimmerman testified at that April 20 proceeding that she did not know how much money was in a PayPal account set up for contributions to her husband's legal defense.

In recorded telephone conversations from jail prior to that date, Zimmerman and his wife appear to discuss — in thinly disguised code — the amount of money in the account, and he instructs her to make a series of transfers to other accounts, the prosecution charges.

Judge revokes George Zimmerman bond in Trayvon Martin killing | Fox News
Zimmerman had his bail revoked by a judge because he and his wife failed to mention $135 000 in his PayPal account and a 2nd passport, both of which would have made him a flight risk.

If this "innocent man" would resort to lying over money and a passport at a bail hearing, then why should he be believed as to what transpired between him and Trayvon Martin?

Stand your ground law can be a good law or a bad law, depending on what the circumstances are. It helps people that need help in certain situations and also can allow unneeded aggression in other situations.

I think the standard self defense law is adequate.
I agree with that, as long as there is no duty to retreat.

Why would anyone have tried george Zimmerman on murder charges? Looking at the evidence only an idiot would have walked in and tried the case in the manner it was tried in. I think that was the number one mistake, the prosecution sucked........it's one thing to not have enough to get a conviction it is another to be out classed by a better attorney.

If you yell "Racist" loud enough, you'll eventually be able to cover up any opposing evidence and win the argument.

We can believe him because the evidence corroborates his story
