  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's cool to say now that I've seen the Heat play in person (seriously, so many future hall-of-famers there), and that I've been to an NBA conference finals game. It was a good one--really intense. I just hate when the refs help decide the game...

Pregame pic:

maybe like 1 hall of famer. James, Bash and Wade arnt hall of famers. But I bet the game was fun to watch.

Hey, you might want to edit out the pic since somehow it turned out huge :sorry: My bad...

Also, I guarantee you that Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Ray Allen will all be in the Hall of Fame one day. Not sure about Juwan Howard or Chris Bosh, though. And Mario Chalmers and Chris Andersen are just plain fun to watch.

Lol I just realized I called Chris Bosh "Bash" lol.

Oh yeah I forgot Ray Allen.

But to be honest I don't think Allen, Bosh and Wade deserve to be in the Hall Of fame. Hall of fame should be reserved for superstar and not every guy who plays 16 seasons in the league. And J Howard has been terrible his whole career. No way he ever makes it to the HOF.

BTW you know the league gonna put Jason Collins in the HOF one day even though they dude has been a bench warmer all his career.

Ray Allen has hit more 3's than any NBA player. He's won a championship (possibly two after this season) and will probably have one of the best career free throw percentages all-time. He's also 21st on the all-time scoring list. He'll definitely be there and deservedly so, in my opinion.
Dwyane Wade is a two-time champion and he's been a superstar since he came into the league (yep, on par with the likes of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and Lebron James). Without him, the Heat wouldn't have won a championship back when they had Shaq at the tail-end of his career post-Lakers. He's older now so he's not as consistently great, but he's still an incredible athlete (it's seriously ridiculous how high he can jump) and a game-changer. I definitely think he deserves to be there, and like I said before, I guarantee he will be.

You're right about Howard and Bosh, though. They won't make it in all likelihood.

well firstly Kobe is prob the greatest of all time (yes better than Jordan). So all three arnt on par with Kobe in any level.

Free throws and 3 pointers don't make you a superstar. There are plenty of great 3 point shooters and free throw shooters out there. I consider Allen a star in his Bucks days. But I never considered him to be a superstar and I think HOF is for superstars.

Wade has had 4 or 5 outstanding years. But does that really warrant a HOF nod? I don't think so. But will he likely get into the HOF? prob.

Kobe better than Jordan? Oh my... :p Kobe has won 5 championships and lost in 2 NBA Finals. He was named the Finals MVP in two of those championships (Shaq was the MVP in the other three). Jordan won 6 championships, never lost in the Finals, and was named MVP in all 6. Kobe has won the MVP award once. Jordan won it 5 times. Kobe is currently 4th all-time in scoring while Jordan is 3rd (although Kobe will likely surpass him). But either way, Jordan still has better numbers. Jordan by far is the greatest of all time.

Ray Allen's 3-point shooting should most definitely get him into the Hall of Fame. That's quite a feat to have made more free throws than any other player and to be in the top 25 all-time in scoring, not to mention having won a championship. And he's still doing it. (He hit a ridiculous 3-pointer falling out of bounds at a crucial point in the game tonight.)

You know what's amazing about Jordan too? He's 30th all-time in games played. Kobe is 12th all-time. Kobe will have played at least 200 more games that Jordan did, and yet he still accomplished all of that. He averaged 30.1 points per game for his career for crying out loud. There's just no one who comes even close (although Lebron might by the end of his career, except he's also lost in the Finals.)

EDIT: And Jordan led the NBA in scoring 10 different seasons. 10! And Kobe has only done it 2 seasons. I could go on and on :p :zoro:
