Hi there!

In a completely scientific way I am giving notice that I have asked for a dream about Evolution. This dream will be explicitly about Evolution. This dream will be from God and intended as communication for you. I plan to be hundred percent open and honest about the contents of the dream.

There is no need to debate this at this point. I will be editing this post at a later date with the details of the dream. I invite you to do the same, asking for a dream is as simple as showing respect, making a request and sealing it in blood (which allows it to take effect physically). This is done with the Name of Jesus.

Thanks for your time.

EDIT:

Ok. The dream is as follows. The dream began as a series of dreams. I remember thinking "ah! I've had two dreams, I must remember what they are" and then I had the third, but the third was the only thing I could remember. I saw two male friends, one of whom frequently annoys the other in real life and they were getting married. Everything they said was like a gay couple and they were tit for tatting in argument about where things would be in the house. I remember moving around the house to get away from the argument but there was just no way. That's it.

The confusing thing about this dream is that the friends are not gay in real life, far from it. The parallel with Evolution seems to be that there is tit for tat with Creationists, but actually the theory is largely irrelevant as it is a forgone conclusion that we live in the same house together (Earth). Arguing about where we will believe and not believe, is kind of fickle, but it can't be avoided because the relationship is corrupt anyway. Hardly earth shattering.

This leads me to wonder whether God wants in on the argument at all. There are things which are in His will, such as helping the poor and the needy and there are things which His will says nothing about, such as where space ends. What men do in obtaining the will of God is open for discussion, yes, but ultimately it's what puts food on the table for a hungry person. So... is it "evolved" to be right? At what point was being "right" a mutation that proved advantageous?

Since this is a "scientific" work in progress can I make one tiny little critique?

OK, hear me out, you have "asked for a dream" which you are indicating will be from God.

Now, I'm not entirely certain how your brain is wired, but if I get a thought in my head like "I'm going to ask God for a dream about..." then I've kind of already planted the seed in my brain to have a dream about whatever it is I ask God for the dream about.

See where I'm going with this?

So now that you've given us notice that you will soon be receiving a message from God on evolution, do you think there might be a slight possibility that it will be from "Gottservant" and utilizes a lot of "Gottservant's" personal opinions and ideas on evolution?

Just sayin'.

Frankly if I had done this the results might be more confusing than enlightening. Something about a house that is, but isn't really, my home where I grew up, and the dog is there but he can talk to me and he says something about french fries.

Or, as an alternative, you could try learning to do actual science. Just a thought.

Let go and let God.

Let God do the heavy lifting! And while He's at it, make it happen with no real effort on the part of the "dreamer".

This is actually even better than the old dodge of sleeping with your textbook under your pillow in hopes of "learning by osmosis".

In this case, if no information comes of it, it's all God's fault! I mean gottservant asked for it...what more should he or she have to do?????

Well done - you've managed to contradict yourself in just one sentence!

Actually it is pretty amazing how many scientists are inspired by a dream or OBE??!!

Dream Room for Scientists - Scientists Who Were Inspired by Dreams

The therapy of love and enlightenment
Science, technology, and other benefits, they told me, had been gifts bestowed on humanity by them – through inspiration. People had literally been led to those discoveries, many of which had later been perverted by humanity to use for its own destruction. We could do too much damage to the planet. And by the planet, they meant all of God's creation. Not just the people, but the animals, the trees, the birds, the insects, everything.

I'd stand in awe if a layman, with no knowledge or education whatsoever in physics, made a significant contribution to, say, string theory, based on a dream. Really. My jaw would hit the floor.

That would be much more compelling than a dream had by someone who has actively been working on a problem but hit an impasse.

Didn't Kekule also "dream" the structure of benzene? But it's not like Kekule was not actively working on chemistry at the time and trying to figure out the structure of benzene.

Gottservant, none of my business, but are you a follower of Emmanuel Swedenborg? and/or are you into Swedenborgianism?

Swedenborg was a giant in my estimation. I haven't read his stuff, but I've read about his story and was thoroughly impressed. His work seemed too dense to really approach from a modern day mindset however, so I doubt I will be reading it in future.

I didn't know that people could prompt specific dreams in this manner. How do you know it is God giving you a dream, and not just your subconscious?

The power of the blood of Jesus is that anything attached to it comes to life. If I attach my dreams to it, my dreams come to life.

God is the inevitability that I will want my dream to be what answers the question, in this case.

Perhaps this is what King David meant by being instructed at night!!!

Psa 16:7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons."

Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

Jhn 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."

I totally understand your analysis of the dream. What I don't understand is why you think this analysis is correct. It could be interpreted in so many ways. I don't think any objective outsider would make any connection to evolution. Your whole analysis seems like a classic case of confirmation bias.
